You can adjust the opacity of the overlay and choose from 20 different blending modes to achieve the desired effect. The image can then be blended with a mask (samples included) or a gradient effect.

For one, the image effects or filters rather, don't hold a lot in the way of making an image look good, I've tried these type of filters in many other programs and didn't get the odd outcome as from these. It doesn't support transparency very well around images. I opened .png images with transparency around the image only to get a white choppy ring around the images which is odd since this has opacity settings. The interface itself is less than interesting, the options not so spectacular. The mask is more of just another overlay or image blend than it is a true mask. I can't say I was very impressed by this at all. showShow review details
