offline browser HTTrack is an easy-to-use offline browser utility. It allows you to transfer a World Wide Web site from the Internet to a local directory, building recursively all structures, getting html, images, and other files from the server to your computer. Links are rebuilt relatively so that you can freely browse to the local site (works with any browser). You can mirror several sites together so that you can jump from one to another. You can, also, update an existing mirror site, or continue an interrupted transfer. The robot is fully configurable, with many options and features. The program is Open Source.

The program does what it says it will do, but is limited as to what it will download in some respects. For example, the video imbedded in a site I downloaded didn't download. I'm little confused as to why this program is needed. In this day, when the internet is accessible 24/7 and any site you wish to connect to is a click away on your favorites listed on your desktop I can see little benefit of eating up your hard drive with downloading websites to your computer. On the other hand, if this is what you're wanting to do, this is the program for you. showShow review details

Yep, this will do everything it says and more. My fault was having to clean the fish aquarium while setting snap files as the page, had nearly a gig and going, yikes. But in my lesson, it clearly creates a browsable environment copying nearly every aspect of a web site. This is completely awesome and the price, wow, FREE??? Try to find this kind of quality freeware in a non paid... I don't think so Tim. Even if you don't feel you would use it all the time, download it, keep it handy, it's a freeware treasure. showShow review details
