hard drive health inspection tool GSmartControl is a graphical interface to smartctl, an open source tool for querying and controlling SMART attributes data on modern hard disk drives. The program automatically checks your hard drive's S.M.A.R.T attributes and alerts you in case there are problems with your drive. GSmartControl also allows you to run different self-test, which can take from a few minutes to several hours, depending on the scope of the test. Other features include detailed hard drive information with technical specs and supported features, S.M.A.R.T attribute values and error reporting.
