This simple program has many desirable features not found in other commercial offerings. If it would do what it advertises, I would have my backup program. The problem is that I keep getting inconsistent and unreliable performance from it, and am now looking for a replacement. The latest issue is that differential backups are not deleting defunct files, leaving the backups large-sized. If GFI would clean up the code a little, this program would go to the very top of the list. showShow review details

I like it when a program works as advertised right off the bat. I installed the program, created a synchronization task, and ran the task, all within 10 minutes. No fuss, no muss. Compare this with my experience with [...], which failed this simple test! showShow review details

A few problems with GFI. Have extensively tried two clones of GFI and had no problems in the actual backup function(except not all files were occasionally copied by either-a serious fault )-but after trying about 5 times on the same settings,GFI will install but not backup at all-freezes at 0%. Then it won't uninstall normally as the log file cant be found(the log file has to be moved to another area like desktop and then can be found by the problematical Wise uninstaller,which apparently is the culprit).GFI should warn users of this. As the two identical clones worked OK, doubt any of all this a conflict in my setup. Potentially could be superb and one of the very best. showShow review details
