For one, the interface is less than desirable, a bit clunky albeit a lot of features, it becomes tough to access them. The effects filters were minimized into a tiny tab just above a preview type window, could not for the life of me get it to adjust to access the effects, unless clicking just slightly above the window.
The previews I had set for good quality, obviously the program didn't know this, the previews were not very good at all. It wouldn't access my pictures files through the library, I had to hunt down the pictures folder, no big deal, can't understand why Windows did such a dumb thing anyway, making two different access points to the same folder. Others do access pictures through my libraries pics folder though.
That aside, it was pretty much the same as others, nothing to WOW you or anything. Saving to HTML didn't work, got an error so that was out of the question.
With all things considered, it's still free and better than Windows viewer, has a lot of effects filters if you can get to them, if the HTML works for some, then I would assume that's fairly neat as well.
Bottom line, I think it needs a major overhaul, as with many others, the ideas are in place but when put in a clunky atmosphere, it makes it hard to like. I do think if worked on, it will be a great viewer though. And of course, it's free so nothing to lose there.
