adjust monitor brightness to the time of day f.lux is a unique tool that automatically makes the color of your computer screen adapt to the time of day. The program calculates the adjustments based on your geographical location and the type of lighting you use at night. As the day progresses, f.lux will gradually adjust the screen brightness and color temperature to match your surroundings, resulting in a more comfortable work environment and less eye strain. If you find that the default night time values are too warm (yellowish) you can adjust them from the settings dialog. The program can be temporarily disabled from the system tray icon whenever you need to have colors displayed accurately (e.g for photo or design work).
