For me it is a life saver - as I am type of user who likes to have full control over system and everything in order I always have been frustrated with some stupid naming for media files description in windows explorer - some movies are "movie clips" some "mkv file" etc - I tried to trying to manually unify those descriptions in registry but it can be tricky. There is a point where Filetypesman could save all efforts - with ease you can change all descriptions for extension, their associations and more - it essential for geeks. showShow review details

I am a huge fan of Nir Sofer, and this utility is no exception to the rule. It works great and I find it far easier to use than wading through Microsoft's file and folder options to accomplish the same thing. And, as opposed to an earlier comment, you can indeed make system changes with this program. My guess is the last reviewer is not familiar with the context menu. ;-) showShow review details
