search for file name information online FileQuery is a handy shell extension that enables you to search for file name information online via Google or any other search engine you prefer. The program can also recognize music and video files (based on their file extension) and provide you with search results from your preferred movie or music site. Once installed, the program is available from the Windows Explorer right-click menu as "Search Online" option. FileQuery can be customized by changing search engine strings and file extension settings, however the only time you can do this easily is during installation - after that you'll need to find and edit the config files or reinstall the application.
