file explorer ExplorerXP is a small and compact file manager that allows you to view, edit, copy, move, rename and delete files and folders using a drag-and-drop interface. Unlike Windows Explorer, ExplorerXP displays the total size for each folder and allows you to browse multiple folder from a tabbed interface. It also includes an option to split and merge files, and to select or delete files based on wildcards.

Nicer than some, but limited 3 stars by balkaster (Read all my 9 reviews)
This is nicer and more feature-rich than some other freeware file managers, but it's lacking in more modern features and not terribly powerful. It's slow to move files and to change the sorting order of files, and the powerful Groups feature can't be sorted, defaulting to the order in which the Groups were created. It only supports Windows Explorer's Details file view (lacking List, Large and Small Icons, etc.). Upside: the tabs can also be tiled, and customizable keyboard shortcuts. Unfortunately, it doesn't work on newer versions of Windows, hasn't been developed since 2005, and the user forums have been locked since 2007. Dead project. I would recommend over Pablo Explorer on features, but Explorer XP has no FTP feature and Pablo is still in development. If you don't mind a legacy app that will eventually have to be abandoned, this is a nice lightweight Explorer replacement. showShow review details
Great idea, needs a little more work 3 stars by helives (Read all my 2 reviews)
Apart from a few personal preferences, this program is nicely done. However, I crashed it within 45 seconds on Windows Server 2003... I think it needs a little more work before I can use it permanently. showShow review details
Excellent file manager! 5 stars by MatheusMeneghini (Read all my 6 reviews)
My Windows 2000 don't crash with ExplorerXP. I tried others similar softwares, but ExplorerXP is the best in my opinion. And ExplorerXP does not have a 2 panel limitation! showShow review details
