DownTester enables you to conduct your own Internet download speed tests by downloading files from multiple locations around the world or from local network shares. You can add as many URLs as you want and the program will download them one after another. There are options to limit the number of kilobytes to retrieve and to set a maximum time for each download. Once the download process is finished, DownTester diplays the average speed for each download in KB/s and Mbps. The results can be saved to HTMl, XML or text formats
Pros: Good for basic speed test
Cons: No long term statistics; does not calculate an average for all downloads
