dynamic DNS client DNS2Go is a dynamic DNS service, that makes your computer accessible anytime, anywhere by associating it with a domain name and assigned IP address. The DNS2Go client software runs in your system tray and monitors your IP address for changes; if it detects a change, it will immediately update your selected domain name (e.g myname.dns2go.com) making sure that you can always be reached under that domain, regardless of your current IP address or location. With a static domain name, you can run server applications from your computer, run your own web site, share files and much more. Additional features include time synchronization, integrated networking tools, dial-up support, proxy/firewall support and more. DNS2Go can optionally run as NT Service and report to the Eventlog. Price reflects a yearly service fee.

Before I got a business class connection with a static IP, I used DNS2Go for several years, to direct traffic to my website and ftp server that runs from a server in my home office. The service is not free like some others, but the cost is extremely affordable, the support was great, and the product was very easy to setup and start using. showShow review details
