Damaged docx2txt is a simple utility that enables you to extract text content from a DOCX file, often even if the file has become corrupted and Microsoft Word is unable to open it. You can also use the program as a way to view the text content of .docx files if you have no other way of opening the file. Damaged DOCX2TXT is a rudimentary GUI front-end that uses a Perl coded back with text extraction based on CAKE v3, not very intuitive or user friendly but it gets the job done.
