customizable command shell ColorConsole is an alternative to the standard Windows command shell (cmd.exe). It offers support for multiple tabs, customizable font and background colors, shortcuts for favorite commands and more. The program offers more than just simple color schemes, it actually enables you to format and color selected text portions similar to a word processor, and you can then export the formatted session to a HTML file or RTF document - great for educational purposes. You can also save frequently used commands for quick access, run Chdir by selecting the folders from an Explorer menu (instead of having to type the path) and also print a copy of your session. I was highly impressed with ColorConsole. At first I felt this would be nothing more than a simple, well,... colored console. It's much more than that. Of course you can change the fonts, colors and such but you can export to html, run commands but you can input your own commands as well. This needs no install but will keep your settings. It's a souped up cmd console and one I'd rather use from here on. showShow review details
