portable application launcher CodySafe is a portable application launcher that enables you to manage, group, sort and launch programs from your USB drive. It runs as a tray icon and provides a Vista-style start menu from where you can quickly launch your programs, access documents, media files or explore the content of your USB drive. The program includes an application manager that makes it easy to add new programs to the launch menu, as well as integrated AutoRun virus protection (ViruSense), a drive space gauge and a handy Find-if-Lost feature that allows you to store owner and contact information to aid in recovery if you ever lose your drive. Other features include a built-in hotkey manager to launch apps and URLs, Autorun management and support for advanced script options. CodySafe is installed directly to your USB drive.

As a portable app user I sometimes keep several versions of the same program on my flash drive. That is usually not an issue as the different versions are in different folders. Seems that Codysafe does not care about folder names (sort of), if the program has the same file name for different versions only the last one setup in Codysafe will actually show up. You must rename the exe files to work around this issue. Hopefully that will be fixed in the future. Other than that a good program so far. showShow review details
