email, fax and archive documents AutoDoc HSE (formerly CMB AutoDoc) is a virtual print driver that can email, fax and archive your documents by simply printing from any software that supports the Print command. You can simply select the AutoDoc printer entry instead of your regular paper printer and the program will process your document based on the embedded comments. In order to make this work, you need to add a line of text to the document that indicates the email address or phone number of the recipient. By default the program is configure to look for invisible white text on white background, but you can change this to a color of your choice. While this seems to be a convenient way to process documents, it also limits the use to documents that you have full editing control over, and is probably not suitable for images, drawings or similar documents. AutoDoc HSE can email documents with optional attachments, archive documents in PDF format (also based on colored text tags), integrate with Goldmine and more. The program will work well if you are aware of the limitations and requirements to make it work.
