I rated this low due to the fact it would not recognize any standard image when browsing for it. If it was set to .png or whatever, it would not see them, instead, I would have to set it to ALL files, only then would it recognize any image type. The options are mediocre at best and even Photostory has more going for it. It said to load an image to use in the effect, well, by golly it wouldn't load anything nor could I drag and drop an image, it wouldn't work. Then when I went to apply effects to any images, the next stage wouldn't show images, why, I have no clue nor do I care at this point. This like so many have the ability to become a nice software but I can't say this was anything more than a buggy basic slideshow creator. I guess others may have more luck with it, if so, good but I myself didn't care for it at all. There are WAY better freebies and paid for out there. showShow review details

After trying some other so-called slideshow creators I finally found this Russian program which does everything I want and need: inserting and deleting pictures, lots of nice graphical effects in-between and inserting music flawlessly. It is obvious that this program was developed with the end user in mind. And this is a compliment. showShow review details

I have been using Bolide to create immaculate slideshows with the mkv extension in hi-def for about a month. Tried using other slideshow creators for a long time, but none would do the trick. The only down side is that there are not a lot of transitions included with the program. If you're making a movie and want that kind of thing, you'd do better using some other program, but if you want to make great hi def slideshows out of your pics, this program is the one to use, which is what it is advertised as. showShow review details
