BrowseControl
control Internet access of employees
BrowseControl is a server/client software that enables network administrators to control Internet access of employees or students from a central location. It can optionally deny Internet access completely, limit it to scheduled times and/or allow access to only specific sites (Allowed List) or deny access to unauthorized sites (Blocked List). In addition to limiting Internet access, the program also allows you to block access to specified applications such as messengers, file sharing clients, games and any other programs that should not be used during business hours. Other features include support for remote client installations, multiple operators, group settings, USB and CD drive blocking and more.
Pros: Supports blocking based on schedules, applications and URLs
Cons: Cannot filter by keyword or content, only by URL; no log features; time consuming configuration
