interface for Safe Boot BootSafe is a simple, standalone interface that makes it easier for inexperienced users to boot their computer into Safe Mode. It does not require you to press any F keys during boot or to use MSCONFIG, but rather allows you to select the boot mode from a simple interface in Windows. Note: after a Safe Boot, you need to use the BootSafe interface to select normal boot mode, otherwise your PC will continue to boot in Safe Mode. (Not enough functionality for a rating)

Handy! 5 stars by Klodwig
You've done something bad to your computer, it starts behaving very strange, you scratch your head and finally, after half an hour of increasing irritation, you decide to investigate in safe mode. As you sit there silently cursing, prepared and eager to tap the F8, in walks the Person from Porlock to claim your attention, and you have to start all over again. Not for me any more with this humble facility. showShow review details
I like it but... 4 stars by DaveM59
Not all options on the WinXP advanced menu are available. Also I'd like to know if/how it adapts to earlier versions of Windows i.e. what options does it present? There's no "Safe mode with networking" on Win98 for example. showShow review details
Ok but maybe a bit superfluous. 2 stars by ianmacm (Read all my 136 reviews)
Rebooting a computer in safe mode is a task for the more advanced computer user, and it is not too difficult to press f8 during the restart process. This works OK but it would be used rarely. showShow review details
The software developer responded to this review on Jan 07, 2006: This utility is not aimed at advanced users - it is targeted towards novice users. We find many of our users do not know how to boot into Safe Mode, or are unable to time the F8 key press to get the menu to come up. Many spyware/malware applications can only be removed in Safe Mode, so many users are required to boot into Safe Mode these days.
