Benign is an email filtering tool, that removes potentially harmful components from incoming email messages. It recognizes harmful attachments, e-mail worms, non-standard HTML, scripts, web bugs and other e-mail borne threats and modifies potentially dangerous messages produce an entirely safe e-mail. The program offers 3 security levels and each can be customized by the experienced user, and also bypassed by specifying domains and senders to exclude. Benign maintains a log of all processed messages and can generate statistical reports, which can also be sent to your inbox on a daily basis. The program does not provide any spam content filtering, but only removes potentially harmful components of messages.
