screen recording software BB FlashBack is a screen recording software that enables you to capture desktop activity in real-time, like a movie, and then export it to Flash (FLV and SWF) or AVI file. You can choose to capture the entire desktop, a specific window or a framed region, and also include sound from a microphone and even the video from an attached webcam as PIP image. Other features include one-click upload to YouTube and other video sharing sites, cursor highlighting and support for Aero effects. Unlike the professional version, BB FlashBack Express does not allow you to edit or add additional annotations (text balloons, arrows etc.) to the captured video. When I first used this, I thought the screen recorder usage was odd. You set the recording area after you select the recording option. But once I got used to it I liked it well enough. When I installed the software it caused my desktop icons to get scrambled on my dual monitor system when they installed their own drivers and had to reboot to recognize my second monitor again. That was very annoying. But once I got it going I loved this software. The automatic settings are very good. The recording performance is excellent. Hands down faster then others I tried. And the frame by frame player is excellent. The best part is how quickly it rendered the recording for playback. What some other recorders took 5 minutes to do, this did in mere seconds. Developers definitely have performance in mind. Could use more marking features in the player but otherwise nicely done. Good software. showShow review details

This program is awesome, and free! I am sure I will be looking at the paid version due to the probability that it is even better than this one. This program holds it's own against the big boys like Demo Builder, Camtasia, etc. showShow review details
