change character accents AX is a handy tool for people that need to make frequent use of foreign language characters. Once installed, you can simply press the F8 key on your keyboard and the last character you typed will be changed to a special character. The program cycles through all available options for that character and changes to the next one with each additional F8 press. AX offers support for eleven European languages and symbols. The program runs in the system tray and can be started or suspended as needed.

If you made such a nice work in creating this extremely hand utility, why didn't you include more characters from more languages. I miss Serbian/Croatian/Bosnian - it is all more less the same language with same characters. And yet, I could find Estonian... Pitty. showShow review details

This program is much easier to use than looking up Alt-key codes and the F-8 key is very convenient. I don't even have to look at what I'm doing because I quickly got used to how many times I had to hit F-8 and it was usually only once or twice. I wasn't able to use AX in my spreadsheet because F-8 is already used by that program. I will probably still use Ctrl-apostrophe for a basic accent over a vowel when I'm in Word, but I'll have AX open for most other accents and for non-Word programs. I chose to save it on shortcuts and opted out of having it starting with the computer. showShow review details
