AutoScreenRecorder is a simple screen recorder that can capture desktop activity and save the recording as AVI video or automatically convert it to Flash (.swf) output. It can capture from any area on your desktop, using an adjustable, rectangular area, a window, or optionally the entire desktop. You can optionally include the current date and username, a note and choose to include or exclude the mouse pointer. The output can be save in Flash format or as AVI, using a codec and compression options of your choice. AutoScreenRecorder is very easy to use, however does not allow you to edit or annotate the captured frames - it offers a simple `what you record is what you get` approach.
