document search engine Archivarius 3000 allows you to index documents and files on your computer, removable drives or local network and enables quick and efficient searching through their content. You can do simple searches or specify detailed search attributes, including file size, date and more. During the indexing process, the program will extract and save detailed information about documents, allowing you to search and overview documents even if these are physically not accessible (e.g CD not in the drive). The searches can be performed from the application interface or via included web server, allowing you to search the index from any browser on the network. Additional features include scheduled index updates, (web) search logging, POP3 mail indexing, document preview with keyword highlighting and more.

Great desktop search utility 5 stars by GZatNL
There are a number of other utilities like Windows Search. Some of them are a real hog on your system... Not with Archivarius. I have used it for many years already and more to come. It runs very well and my indexes work excellent. I have indexed many files including network shares. It also can run on a server and you can buy licenses to let users search for strings. This is nice for business users like myself. One little note that I had with my version is that it does not automatically schedule index updates. It has to be done manually. But at least I am in control when it happens because indexing takes a lot of system resources. For a product at this price level it worth the small investment. But don't try to go overboard with system drives with hundreds of gigabytes of office documents. It is not written for that and you have to split it into multiple indexes. If it contains pictures etceteras then no problem. But it is possible. ;-) showShow review details
Amazing for the price 5 stars by littlejoey
This is the only program I have found that will do what it does for only $29! It will index my Pocomail email, and all standard documents and search for text. It is stable and unbelievably fast. A real bargain!!! showShow review details
