disable or manage autorun on USB drives Antirun is simple solution to prevent autorun.inf/AutoPlay programs from executing automatically when you insert a USB drive or other removable storage device. The program scans the drive for an autorun.inf file and alerts you if it finds one. The autorun.inf file is a simple text file that contains instructions to automatically launch a program when the drive is inserted (very common with commercial software CDs/DVDs), but it can also be abused to automatically launch a malicious program or script. Antirun does not have any anti-virus capabilities, it cannot distinguish a good autorun.inf from a bad one, however it can does make you aware of the fact and offers the option to delete the file or to open the drive safely, bypassing the autorun instructions.Other features include an option to safely remove (eject) a drive and an option to disable the autorun functionality in the Windows registry.
