The program takes advantage of your drive`s S.M.A.R.T. capabilities and can monitor hard disk parameters such as Temperature, Head Flying Height and Spin-Up Time. If the values reach a critical threshold, the program can notify you by pop-up window or email message. Active@ Hard Disk Monitor provides an easy-to-read interface that also displays other hard drive properties as well as the overall health status for each disk.

I have tried other similar apps, but this one works and works well. It enables you to see the temp of your hard drive in the system tray (by the clock), and you choose the colors, including for alerts (high temp., etc.) which it enables, and it offers other basic info on all drives. Low on system resources, and such should be standard on PCs. showShow review details
