BlackICE PC Protection is personal firewall that contantly monitors your internet connection for malicious connection attempts, and prevents intruders from scanning or accessing your system. The security settings are easily configured via 4 levels of protection, and advanced users can further tweak the configuration files for specific port options. In addition to personal firewall protection, BlackICE also offers application level security that scans your computer for all existing programs, and notified you when an unknown/new application is launched. UNlike many other personal firewalls, BlackICE only provides inbound firewal protection, and does not prevent or control outgoing connection requests.
