QuickMessenger
QuickMessenger is a simple tool that provides an enhanced interface for Windows Messenger (Instant Messenging) and allows you to send text messages from one computer to the other or to a group of computers (on the LAN). It allows you to add a signature to the message and can make use of predefined messages, so you don t have to type common messages over and over again. QuickMessenger can also capture incoming messages and does not require to be installed on the other LAN machines.
NTSend
NTSend provides a graphical user interface to Windows popup messages that does not require any installation on client machines. It automatically discovers and lists all users, machines, groups and domains on the network and lets you select them as recipients for your message. In addition, you can save your lists of recipients for later use and broadcast a message to all the members of an existing network group. Additional features include favorites, signatures, export and import of lists and more.
InterChat
InterChat is a small but powerful chat program and network messenger, that allows you to chat over a Local Area Network (LAN). It automatically detects other users on the network that are using the InterChat client and allows you to chat with one or more users, or to send an alert message that will show as a small pop-up window on the users desktop. It includes many features like auto-reply text, file transfers, multi-user chat, online status, alert messages to all users and more. The interface is easy to use and supports chat emoticons, chat dialog export and logging, custom user names and other handy features. In addition, InterChat comes with a SpeedBar option, that can put auto-hide chat bar across the top or bottom of your screen, which can be very handy for frequent chatters.
Net Send GUI
Net Send GUI is a plain and simple interface for the Net Send command. Rather than typing the command, you can use this little interface to send a message to a specified user or the entire domain or group. Since the program uses the built-in windows messaging, no additional software is needed by the recipients - it just requires that the Windows Messenger Service is running.

Fomine Net Send GUI is a simple alternative for the Windows Net Send functionality. It automatically presents a list with all online users, and you can select which one(s) to send a message to. Fomine Net Send GUI uses it`s own own TCP/IP protocol, and while it is fully compatible with Winpopup LAN Messenger and OfficePopup, it does not require the Messenger Service to be running.
RealPopup
RealPopup is a replacement for WinPopup and is fully compatible with Windows Messenger Service, NetSend across versions of Windows. It is very similar to the original Winpopup application, however comes with several enhancements, including features to browse received messages, delete, reply or compose new one, hyperlink support, message saving, customizable fonts, integrated network browser and more. Additional features include away status, message logging, message redirection and command line support. You can use RealPopup in full compatibility mode, or as a separate client, that only uses the Realpopup protocol.

Net Message is a small tool to send messages across the network, using the Windows Messenger Service, so there is no client install required to receive the messages. Additional features include Message interception, history of sent and received messages, alias support and more. The program can also be started from the commandline to send bulk messages to recipients from a text file. Net Message supports sending of large messages, such as long documents, by splitting them in multiple files, and joining them back together. Additional features include away messages, URL highlighting and network discovery.

Hey, Joe! is a simple messaging utility, designed to send messages over Windows local networks and intranets. It offers text messages with optional auto-responders, message alert, logging and more. You can also use it for real-time chatroom-style chatting with another machine on your network.
SendRec
SendRec enables you to send messages over a LAN. The program is protocol independent, comes with an easy to use interface. In addition to simple message sending, SendRec supports receipts/notification and QuickAnswers, which allow the receive to post a quick Yes/NO answer . SendRec must be installed on all other network machines, that you wish to communicate with.
Lanic
Lanic is a simple network intercom that enables you to (voice)communicate between computers on the local network. The program needs to be copied (no install needed) to every machine, and can then be initiated by simply selecting a computer that is currently online and running the Lanic client. Lanic supports full and half-duplex communication and offers a mute option, as well as support for several audio codecs.
