IRIS is astronomical images processing software that provides a full range of features to enhance, correct and process digital astronomical images, optimized for CCD captures. It can open digital raw formats, as well as BMP, FITS and PIC as well as images from the Buil-Thouvenot Atlas. The many features include noise suppression, distortion correction, stacking of image sequences, spectra processing, sun chromosphere image processing, frame grabbing via webcam and much more.

AmoK Exif Sorter enables you to copy, move and rename your photos based on information contained in the EXIF and IPTC data. The program can automatically generate folder structures and file names based on dates, camera model, exposure and other technical details. You can create custom profiles for multiple cameras, preview the new file paths in real-time, and process sub-directories. The prgram can be used to copy images from your camera or memory card and automatically organize them on your hard drive, or to re-organize existing images in your local folders.

RegiStax is an image processing tool that is used to stack (digital) astronomical image captures, in order to improve detail, color and overall quality. It uses Fast Fourier Transformation Initial alignment system and offers various controls to adjust brightness, gamma, histogram, RGB shift and much more. Other features include user controlled wavelet filters and schemes, resampling, horizontal and vertical de-interlacing and more.

Opanda PhotoFilter allows you to apply the effect of various Kodak, Hoya and Cokin photo filters to your digital images. Just load your image, select the filter and hit the apply button. You can switch between the filter preview and the original image, and save a copy of the filtered image. Opanda PhotoFilter offers adjustable density and auto luminosity compensation for more natural looking and pleasant result. In addition to improving the quality of your images, the program is also great for testing the effects of (hardware) lens filters.

BIMP Lite is a small and simple batch processor for image files, that allows you to perform various functions on multiple images. It can be used to create thumbnail images from your pictures, add a prefix/postfix, add a text overlay (watermark), replace spaces in the file name with underscores, flip or rotate images and also apply anti-aliasing and beveling effects and more. The thumbnail resizing allows you to force a specified width or height and keep the proportions, or define fixed image dimensions. In addition, the program can also convert the file format to GIF, JPG, TIFF, PNG, BMP, MIFF or TGA. All of the actions can be performed individually, or combined.

uMark Lite enables you to add a text or image watermark to your digital photos. You can choose from 9 pre-defined watermark placements, set a custom font , size and color, as well as opacity level. The freeware version can batch process up to 50 images in a single run. The watermarked images are saved in a new folder, so your originals remain unchanged (the watermarked copies have their EXIF data removed).

Easy Graphic Converter allows you to quickly convert one or multiple images between 10 popular graphic formats, including TIFF, JPEG, PNG, PSD, BMP and others. In addition, it can also resize the output images and optionally create smaller versions or even thumbnails from the originals.

Stepok RAW Importer enables you to open and convert RAW files from most camera models on the market. It offers a step-by-step wizard to open the files, select the conversion quality and make basic adjustments to the file (exposure, dynamic range, color temperature etc.). The image can then be saved in JPG or TIFF format. Stepok RAW Importer also includes a batch conversion mode, however without image adjustment options. It supports Canon RAW CR2,CRW; Kodak RAW DCR; Adobe Digital Negative DNG; Konica Minolta MRW; Nikon NEF; Olympus ORF; Fujifilm RAF; Leica RAW, Contax RAW, Casio RAW and other raw formats. Stepok RAW Importer is no match for commercial RAW converters, but works well as a free alternative.

Vignetting Reducer can help you reduce or remove the effects of vignetting from a photograph, often caused by the mechanical properties of the lens, wrongly aligned filters or hood attachment. The program uses a process that involves the taking of a second picture using a bright background with the same lens, filters and hood that caused the initial vignetting effect. You can then load the second image as a mask and further adjust the effect and brightness until the vignetting effect is reduced or removed. Can produce good results, but involves some effort.

Digital Image Tool is a simple image processing tool that enables you to perform common image operations on a batch of selected images. It supports flexible image resizing, rotation, cropping, scaling, renaming with prefix/suffix and incremental numbers as well as adding of a watermark image overlay (either generic or custom).

Edit Digi Pictures integrates into the Windows Explorer right-click menu for images, and provides access to quick renaming of multiple files, resizing, rotation, and format conversion (jpg, gif, bmp, tif, png). The program includes a resizing featured that is intended for emailing of pictures, and automatically creates copies in an email friendly size, that can be used instead of the (large) originals.

Image Renaming is a small and simple program to add dates to your images. You can choose between creation date, file date, last modified and last accessed date and either append it to the file name, or add it as text overlay directly into the image(s). If you add it to the image, you can also select the font type, size and color to be used.

Picture To Go is a simple image viewer that offers thumbnail browsing and integrated emailing of images. It can automatically resize the photos to thumbnails or email friendly size and attach them to a new email message (using your default mailer).
