In addition to malware scanning, Spybot provides a variety of advanced tools that allow advanced users to perform manual system inspections by investigating startup areas, browser plug-ins, HOSTS entries and other system settings. Other features include a Rootkit Scanner, system reports, secure file shredding, and more. Besides the free version, Spybot offers Home and Pro version with additional features.

Been using Spybot Search and Destroy since the 90's and it always works and finds those bad files. Have installed it in many computers and many different versions of Windows. It always comes through for me. Always been free and safe, I would recommend to anyone. showShow review details

I have been using Threatfire for many years and it is no longer being supported by PC Tools, dropping it... I found Spyware Terminator to be an excellent replacement for Threatfire, "real time" protection along side Avast and PrivacyWare's "Private Firewall on Windows 8. showShow review details

At last - able to rid my system of the tracking cookies 'atdmnt' and 'doubleclick', which constantly reinstalled after deleting in IE. In the 'cookies exceptions' area of advanced settings some cookies have multiple parts. One can delete certain features of a cookie while retaining the desired cookie if preferred. showShow review details
