This shows you how often XL Delete was updated with us over the past few months. Whenever available, we also include additional information for each update (new features, changes etc.).

New: Updated UI look and feel.
New: You can now securely clean the Windows recycle bin from the tools menu or the recycle icon on the toolbar.
New: Full compatibility with the Aero interface in Windows Vista.
Change: The Free Space Lock feature will now create all lock files in a sub-folder named `XL Delete Locks` in the root of the drive whose free space is being locked.
Fix: Wiping shortcut (.lnk) files is now properly handled in Windows Vista.
Fix: The Internet Cleaner will no longer report false error reports in Windows Vista.
Fix: The Free Space Wipe will now properly clean up any temporary files which were left over from a previous wipe that was unexpectedly canceled or interrupted.

Added Purge File Table feature.

Added NTFS drive detection to the Free Space Wipe and Free Space Lock features.
Added new error log dialog for easier viewing of files that failed to wipe.
Added new context menu for better integration with the Windows shell.
Added new redesigned free space wipe which securly wipes the drive is sections (chunk based wipe). This new method will also do a minor file table purge.
Added better error handling for unexpected errors. You will now have the option to send a bug report for any unexpected crash.
Added support for Windows Vista Beta 2.
Fixed bug with the file viewer crashing when previewing a file over 2 GB in size.
Fixed bug with cleaner freezing with certain Firefox profiles.
Fixed bug with cleaner progress bar displaying 66% instead of 100% when cleaning the index.dat files.

Changed all the wipe dialogs so that they can now be minimized.
Changed the update checker to ask for permission before connecting to the Internet to check for updates for the first time.
Optimized the wipe engine and several of the wipe methods for speed.
The free space wipe feature will now verify the amount of free space near the end of the wipe to prevent Windows from blocking it from finishing.
