This feature enables SpyCatcher to keep up with aggressive, mutating forms of spyware. This method results in more comprehensive spyware scans that run up to 3 times faster than before.

Spyware is starting to infect and activate itself within computers at continually higher levels in the startup, or boot process of users computers. Whereas before, spyware may have only activated itself when Internet Explorer was executed, now some spyware can activate itself from the moment that Windows starts up. When SpyCatcher s new Parachute feature is enabled, it watches the boot process for this kind of spyware activity, and if a persistent infection is detected, Parachute restarts the computer in safe mode , deletes the spyware, and restarts the computer again. This process stops spyware from being able to install and activate itself at continually higher levels in the boot process. The procedure is fully automatic, so users do not need to supply any instructions to be completely protected from this new form of spyware.
