- Version 2.0 now runs off of a database instead of the small text file that v1.1 ran from. The reason behind the change is that LockJar will run much faster now! For those users that run older systems, you may not have what is called Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) installed on your machine. These components are basically drivers for accessing data. If you receive errors on LockJar start up (ODBC Errors, file open errors, etc.), then you can be sure that you more than likely don` t have these components installed.
