This shows you how often Kirby Alarm Pro was updated with us over the past few months. Whenever available, we also include additional information for each update (new features, changes etc.).

version 4.45 - posted on Apr 15, 2008

  • Remove requirement to enter the registration code within 30 days. You can now use the original registration code regardless of when it was issued.
    New option in FTP Profile maintenance to use a passive connection (default is active connection)
    Fix bug in passing the port number in ftp transfers.
    Fix some problems with sending emails using the Email Client. Now Works (and tested) with: Outlook Express, Outlook 97 and 2000, Eudora, Incredimail and Mozilla Thunderbird (1.5.0.2)

  • - New option in preferences to set hot keys making Kirby Alarm even easier to use.
    Create alarms, to do items, contacts, display calendar, quickly and easily
    by pressing a key combination (eg Ctrl Alt A) that you assign to various tasks.
    - New option in contacts screen to copy the name and address to the clipboard.
    - New option in preferences to set `stay on top` behaviour of pop up notes.
    - New option in the Pop Up Note tab in the preferences screen on where to set the focus.
    - Fix bug. Displaying warning message about posting an alarm using an advanced option
    even though the user has registered the pro version.
    - New option in ToDo list to attach a document (or web address, file, etc) that relates
    to the item to be done.
    - New button on To Do List browse to open the related file.
    - Fix bug in creating snoozed item. It was not copying all of the fields (eg skip missed alarm)
    - New option in FTP action on what to do with the source file.
    This means you will have the following options after the transfer..
    to Do nothing
    or Delete the source file
    or Append YYMMDDhhmm to the file extension of the source file
    or Append a user defined string (eg DONE) to the file extension of the source file
    or Move the source file to another folder.
    - New action to open a web page. This could have been done previously using
    the `Open File` action, but it was not very obvious, and it oly allowed url s of 255
    characters. This new option allows url s to be up to 1000 characters long!
    - New spell checker function (requires Microsoft Word). Just press F7 to spell check the current textbox.
    - Fix bug when copying an alarm. It was sometimes showing the simple screen, when it should be
    showing the advanced screen depending upon the alarm action.
    - New option in preferences to set the font size colour, type, colour etc in the entire application.

  • New option in preferences to run Kirby Alarm as a service.
    New LITE version of Kirby Alarm. The LITE version has all the features of the full version except - Backup, FTP, Shutdown, Restart, Logoff & ability to run as a service
    Updated interface
    New more powerful query filter facility on `ToDo` screen.
    New contacts facility to store name/email address/phone and other contact info. Contacts can be imported from (or exported to) a csv file.
    New button on UpdateAlarms screen to delete the alarm
    New option in preferences to set the default colour, font, size, and style for new alarm notes.
    New option in preferences to set the colour for the `Green Bar` on browse screens
    New option in to do list to have quick filters on complated status, and category
    New button on main screen and option in tray icon menu to display a calendar
    New option when copying a backup alarm to copy the backup parameters as well.
    New option in Browse Alarm Log to Query database
    Tray icon now has red line through it when snoozing all alarms
    Updated internal method for tray icon menu.
    Enhanced entry of watch file size by having Gigabytes, Megabytes, and Kilobytes spin boxes.
    Increase performance of backup to zip file
    Backup to zip file does not remove the original zip file. Instead it now only updates the files that have changed.
    Increased size of the `ToDo` note field from 1000 to 10,000 characters
    Do not force a note to be entered unless required. (eg if action is `Say Time` no note is required)
    Replace calendar date selector with a much improved option.
    Add maximise icon to add/modify alarm screen
    Change Valid Times on alarm entry to use a drop down list box
    Change preferences to capture the last test email used
    Reduce size of alarm update form slightly so it fits on a screen resolution 800x600 with large fonts.
    Fix problem with send emails via gmail
    Fix problem with windows position. Will now ensure that when the window is opened, it is visible on the desktop area. (also supports dual monitors)
    Fix bug in check if watch file size is greater than an given size.
    Fix bug in backup to zip file if more than one include specification for the same folder.
    Fix bug. Tooltip of next alarm date/time not being updated when an alarm is deleted.
    Fix bug in calculating next alarm time when valid time range is used.
    Fix bug if stop snoozing button clicked it was not updating the tray icon tool tip
