This shows you how often EMDB was updated with us over the past few months. Whenever available, we also include additional information for each update (new features, changes etc.).

IMDB import: Fixed a bug when the number of actors to be imported is higher as the number of actors listed. Sometimes an invalid actor was added.

Options: Sometimes the Custom Genres were cleared.
Movie Properties: Added 2.35:1 and 1.85:1 as possible aspect ratios.

The recently introduced local configuration file replacing the registry could cause problems in some cases: settings were restored to their defaults. Also the customized naming got broken. Version 0.54 fixes this too.

IMDB Import: For movies with multiple directors none was imported. Now the first one is used (`A Bugs Life`).

IMDB Import: For movies with general prefix (`The`, `A`) the prefix is moved to the end optionally to make the sorting of titles more usefull. `A Bugs Life` is renamed to `Bugs Life, A`. Added a tab to the option dialog to enable this feature and to customize the prefixes taken into account. You can also update all movies already in the database.

Translations: Updated the Slovakian translation.
Translations: You can now use the | character as a new line indicator.
User Interface: Made the space for the loan date in the main window a bit larger.
Manual Backup: Manual backups (and restores) now include both the database and the thumbnail images.
Database: Fixed (incorrect) reported damaged database when only directors and/or actors but no movies are present.
Database: Changed the automatic backup mechanism: EMDB now automatically keeps a Last Known Good Database to prevent data loss when something happens to your database. You can still (and should) create manual backups though.
Database: Added a check on version numbers. You shouldn t (and can t anymore) use a newer database with an older version of EMDB.

Application: EMDB is now fully portable: all settings are stored in a local configuration file (emdb.cfg) instead of the Windows registry. Your current settings are read from the registry and stored in the configuration file.
Movie Properties: Added Turkish as language property.
Movie Properties: Fixed Media types HardDisk/BluRay and HD-DVD were not saved.
