  • Vista Compatibility
    Docsvault Professional edition now supports Microsoft Windows Vista.

    Inbuilt Document Viewer
    Docsvault now has inbuilt document view window that allows to quickly preview all image files and PDF documents scanned using Docsvault. View all pages of multipage files with previous and next page buttons. Browse for next and previous files in that folder right from the preview window. All necessary features like rotate, zoom, fit to window, fit to width etc that make handling the document preview easier.

    Enhanced Scanning Interface
    Added batch scanning facility to automatically create new files at a predefined # of pages. Auto deskew feature to automatically straighten crooked pages. Auto skip blank pages with customizable ink density threshold. Scan and append pages to existing scanned PDF and Tiff files. Advanced options to customize threshold, brightness and contrast before scanning. Support for duplex scanners.

    Other Features
    Thumbnail display of all image type files along with all PDF files scanned using Docsvault for visual identification of your files in the list view panel.
    User can now set the path for their Check Out folder.
    You can now permanently purge old and unneeded Audit Log data from Audit Trail Query. Some more eye candy skins/themes

  • It is now possible to export the entire repository (along with Safevault data if desired) directly to a writable CD or DVD. This CD/DVD can then be used to access the files stored in Docsvault from any computer.

    Ability to change the repository location from the options form.
    When moving or copying files from one location in Docsvault to another, Docsvault will also move versions and the profile data associated with the files.
    When a new profile is created, it will be available for use under all cabinets and folders without the need for specifically assigning the new profile to cabinets and folders.
    The split option while creating a backup CD/DVD is now deprecated and replaced with a newer automatic procedure that will use available free space on the media or ask for new media if the free space is not enough for the current repository.

    Uninstalling Docsvault will not delete the Docsvault Data folder and the registration information. So if Docsvault has to be reinstalled on the same PC for any reason, a restore will not be required (as long as the same data path is chosen during reinstallation) and a reactivation of the program will not be required.
    Cabinet delete will now be logged in the audit trail irrespective of the audit trail settings for the deleted cabinet.
    The program now remembers the last import location
    Window size and position setting are now retained in the program when the program is reopened.
    Fixed issues with displaying multi layer .ico files in the image preview window.
    Fixed issues with moving/copying image files when the image preview window is open.
    Network backup now works as expected.
