- This version includes SHA-256 secure hash algorithm and uses it as a default algorithm instead of SHA-1. The encancements were made because of critical break in SHA-1 algorithm discovered by Xiaoyun Wang, Yiqun Lisa Yin, and Hongbo Yu researchers from Shandong University.
