HTMLock (formerly VirTime HTMLock) allows you to create password protected HTML pages. You can use protected pages on your web site, local network, intranet site, CD, DVD or hard disk. No special browser extension software is required. The protection system is based on JavaScript, therefore works practically everywhere. It is compatible with allmajor browsers (IE4 and up, Netscape 4 and up etc.). You dont need special support of a web server software to protect your web pages. Any location of your protected web page is allowed: your own hard disk, CD or DVD, local network file server, small business or corporate web site etc. The program uses a wizrd that will walk you through the process step by step.

It supports multiple users and passwords and works with virtually all modern browsers. The program offers an easy-to-use wizard that guides you through the protection process. Additional features include customizable login templates, optional cookie protection and options to disable right-clicking, disable printing, as well as an option to limit access based on the referring page and more.

HTML Guardian will protect your entire web site. It encrypts HTML, ASP and script files, including .j and .vbs. It makes stealing and reusing your source code impossible and in addition protects your links, images and more. Additional features include disable right click, disable text selection and page printing, add password protection and referrer check as well as an option to prohibit offline use of files. Files can be entirely or partially encrypted, you can also use the program to encrypt HTML formatted email. Your meta tags are left intact in order to make sure that search engines can still index your site properly. You also have the option to simply compress HTML code without encryption features in order to decrease file size.
