Chameleon Startup Manager provides you with complete control over the programs that start automatically with Windows. It displays a list of all the applications that are configured to auto-start and allows you do disable or remove any of them. The program also indicates the current status (running or not running) and provides additional options to view application details and/or to search for supplemental information on the web. You can also configure a custom delay for each program, which can help to speed up your startup sequence by delaying the startup of programs that are not needed immediately. Startup Organizer is a program that was developed to provide quick access to all of the programs that are automatically started when you turn on or logon to your computer. The program allows you to inspect, edit, and/or temporary disable such programs, and make backup configurations. An auto-alert feature can optionally alert you each time a program attempts to register itself for auto-start, a good precaution to detect possible Trojans as well. The additional Controlled Startup feature allows you to skip certain programs from startup and boot faster if you hold [Shift] key pressed while Windows is logging on.

Startup Faster! makes your computer start up faster by managing your startup items. By default, windows launches all your startup items more or less at once, which can cause that you may have to wait until everything is loaded, before you can use your desktop. Startup Faster! can reduce this wait by slowing it down, and launching the applications with a (customizable) delay, thereby consuming less resources and allowing you to access your desktop faster. In addition, it lets you view the list of current startup items, and allows you to disable/enable selected entries, which can further speed up the process. The program allows you to set custom delay times for each application that starts, so you can have the ones you need startup first, and delay others for up to 20 seconds.
