Unlike most other check printing products, that require you to purchase blank check templates, CheckPrinter uses your existing wallet-size bank checks (from your checkbook) and prints payee, amount, word amount, date, memo, signature and notes into your (wallet size) check. The built-in Layout Editor supports a wide range of printers and check layouts and allows you to visually customize the settings, so they match your check format. A sample check layout is included. In addition to the printing, the program automatically keeps a register, and allows you to setup payees, so you can quickly print checks without having to retype the information every time. The program is very user friendly and provides detailed help and interactive dialogs. Additional features include backup options, integration with MS Money and Quicken, scanned signature support and much more.

priPrinter is a virtual printer and previewer that enables you to preview and modify print jobs before sending them to your actual (paper) printer. You can choose to remove images, print multiple pages on one sheet, delete pages, add text or watermarks and more. The program also supports poster printing, booklets, rescaling, two-sided printing, print to image as well as customizable margins and cropping. priPrinter works with any application that supports printing and can be set as the default printer so there is no additional software to launch other than the print dialog. The program automatically works with duplex printers, switches printer duplex on/off and appropriately rotates back sides. Other features include conversion to document forms, on-screen measurements, page zooming, full-screen preview, personal text macros and more.

Print Inspector is a print management and auditing solution that lets you manage the print jobs queued to any shared printer on the network. You can pause or cancel any job, view the printed document properties, resume the job or restart it and print the document from the very beginning. In addition, it provides easy access to the printer and print server settings and offers print auditing capabilities with detailed statistics and estimated cost as well as export to CSV. A built-in reporting tool enables you to print basic reports based on the collected data.

PhotoMix allows you to create image collages by assembling multiple images into one single graphic. You can select from different layouts and then simply drag the images into the marked locations. Individual layouts can be saved andthe result can then be printed or exported to a BMP, GIF or JPG file. PhotoMix supports most popular graphic formats and you can create and output images of any size. The program is very easy to use and produces nice looking results.

EZ Photo Calendar Creator allows you to create custom photo calendars using your own pictures. You can select from over a dozen different monthly and yearly styles and simply insert your pictures in the pre-defined areas. In addition, it includes wizards to create greeting cards, contact sheets as well as a poster wizard. PicsPrint can also create camera thumbnails, import from your scanner (if you don t have a digital camera) and allows for some basic image editing functions and Red Eye Removal. SuperCool Office Assistant is a simple contact database that allows you to design and print envelopes, labels, letters and more, and automatically integrate selected customer information in the output. In addition, it can also be used to send email to all selected contacts, or to print DVD/CD labels. The program can import data from dBASE, ASCII txt, Access, Excel, Paradox and SQL server databases and export to dBASE, ASCII txt and Excel. The program has a basic interface that goes along with basic features. It does not support any Avery templates nor any other brands.

IDpack Plus is a fast and reliable badge-printing program, that allows you to design and produce professional photo ID cards, nametags and badges complete with barcode, logo, picture and more. The ID cards are of professional quality (several templates come included) and well suited for various uses, including schools, libraries, membership, corporate security cards, convention cards etc. IDpack can print on plain paper, using your existing printer and does not require any special equipment. You can print on Avery self-laminating ID card sheets or use plain paper, then optionally laminate them with your choice of laminator. The program consists of a badge designer and a producer. The producer can optionally be installed as a server, that other clients can connect to from the network. The Producer includes capability to take digital pictures via camera input, barcode reading and more.

O&K Print Watch allows for centralized monitoring and auditing of all printing activity on Windows NT/2000/XP print servers. It allows the administrator to manipulate the print jobs in queue (Pause, Resume, Delete, Restart) and retrieve detailed information for each print job, including computer name, number of pages, paper size, color mode and more. You can track as many printers simultaneously as needed and the machines can run any operating system. In addition, you can specify the costs per printed document, and the program wil automatically calculate the total, based on paper size and print properties. PrintWatch also maintains a database of overall statistics, per user, per printer and machine.

Each calendar type can be customized and saved as a template for later use. The finished calendar can be printed or saved as BMP or JPG file.

PaperCut Quota is a print monitoring and charging system for Windows networks. It allows you to assign print and Internet usage credits to user, and deduct them as they are using the service. If credits are used up, the user will be blocked from printing or Internet usage. The program offers a flexible restrictions scheme that also allows for unrestricted use (can be set per-user), yet denying print jobs that exceed a specified number of pages, use a selected color mode and more. This way the system can be used in a user-pays environment, or simply to monitor usage and limit excess use or abuse of resources. In order to control Internet usage, your network must use a supported proxy server (ISA Server, Squid, WinGate and FreeProxy). PaperCut Quota is free for small networks with up to 5 users, or on a standalone PC.

Cool Barcode Maker is a WYSWYG 1D and 2D barcode printing software. It can create a variety of different 1D and 2D format barcodes and output them to your printer. Features include barcode preview, custom templates, project support and optional export to BMP image format. Support barcode formats include EAN8, EAN13, ISBN, EAN128A, EAN128B, EAN128C, Code39 &Extended, Code93 &Extended, Code_2_5, Code128A, Code128B, Code128C, MSI, PostNet, Codabar, UPC A, UPC E, UPC Supp2, PDF417 2D, Maxicode 2D.

Remote Print Manager (RPM) is a comprehensive TCP/IP LPD Print Server that expands printing capabilities by giving users more control, formatting options, and file management advantages over traditional network server printing. RPM allows users to customize and control processing of print jobs received on a TCP/IP network from hosts such as mainframes, AS/400s, UNIX and Linux, and other Windows platforms. It fully supports SCS Formatting Instructions and offers many TCP/IP Printing features not normally found with Host over IP printing situations. Additional features include SCS to ASCII translation and EBCDIC to ASCII translation, Remove PCL codes and convert LF to CRLF, ASA carriage control and code page support, the ability to insert and append bytes, Character translations and extensive form printing controls. A Windows 95/98/Me version is also available from the home page.

Visual Labels is an easy to use program, that lets you design and print various types of labels, including VCR labels, jar and bottle labels, folder labels, return address labels, name tags and many others (NOT DVD or CD though). It offers several tools to help you design your label; you can use shaped text, circular text, gradients, and also insert shapes, images, rich text and symbols - all with simple drag and drop positioning. We could only find support for Avery templates, but you can also create your own template based on custom specifications.

SimpleCopier is a straightforward and easy to use photocopier software that lets you quickly print a copy of any document from your scanner. You can simply insert a document into your scanner and press the Copy button, to have your printer produce a 1:1 copy of it. You can also modify the print result by reducing the size, adding a copyright text and changing the color settings. In addition, the program offers support for command line input, email sending, and comes with a wizard interface that will create pre-configured shortcuts for one-click scanning operations with settings of your choice. SimpleCopier is very easy to use for non-technical users, but also provides many advanced options that let you customize and automated the copy process.

Print Pilot is a photo album printing software, that allows you to create custom page layouts, add text and caption to your images and then print them on a single sheet. The program offers free style resizing and positioning anywhere on the page. In addition to photos, you can also print and position any type of text and images, copied from the clipboard. You can grab portions of documents, web pages etc. and combine them into a single page collage. Layouts can be saved as projects for later reprint or modification.

PrintFolders provides a simple way to print contents of folders into a plain text (TXT) or HTML file. You can set filters for files to be included, choose to include or exclude file names, file extensions, full paths and more. In addition, you can specify colors for HTML output, set a custom root (for publishing on the web) and include ID3 tag information for MP3 files. PrintFolders also integrates into the Windows Explorer right-click menu for easy access.

PrintSniffer allows system administrator to monitor and control printing in their corporate network. It provides logging and reporting features that allow for a clear view of what is being printed, how much paper is consumed, etc. PrintSniffer can log to a text file or database via ODBC or ADO connection string. Supports unlimited printers, including network printers.

Art Directory Print can print directory and CD listings and save them as the HTML files, which you can send by email or publish to web. It adds itself to the Windows Explorer context menu for folders and allows printing with just 3 mouse clicks. You have total control over the output and can specify what columns will be printed as well as their order and width. The program comes with additional file filter options, that allow you to filter by name, date, size and by attributes. You can select the level of the recursive folder processing, order output based on several criteria and customize the output format (font, color etc.).

INTELLIscribe is an LPR Print Client that enables you to send documents to printers and print servers anywhere in the world using the the TCP/IP Internet protocol. It transforms the users print environment into a print distribution center. A wizard interface allows you to add as many virtual printers as you like and to associate real remote printers with the virtual printers. INTELLIscribe runs in the system tray, seamlessly redirecting the virtual printer output to the remote printers. The program also includes an optional command-line interface to automatically print during low-impact hours, print filenames, and send files across a network. Additional features include Round-robin printing, broadcast printing, fail-over printing, easy reprint, archiving, drag-and-drop, and more. For multi-printer environments, the program also supports Destination Balancing; new print jobs coming in will be sent to the printer that has been the least used. The remote printers need to be accessible via TCP/IP.

Klick-N-View Business Cards allows you to design and print your own, quality business cards, greeting cards and labels. It includes various template designs to get started, as well as a collection of clipart, backgrounds and more (registered version). You can design your business cards with the help of background images, logos, text, and other decorations such as lines, rectangles and other shapes, as well as special effects including flipped and rotated text, drop shadows, texture and gradient fills. Klick-N-View Business Cards also includes a database for personal information, making it easy to quickly print new designs for different users. The program offers support for most common Avery papers.

Miraplacid Publisher enables you to convert any printable documents into an image format, PDF file or website presentation. It allows you to scale the image as needed, set output format and compression ratio, remove unused border white space and more. The program installs as a virtual printer and can be accessed from the print dialog of any application. Instead of sending it to your paper printer, simply select the Miraplacid Publisher, choose an output format and save it to file. The dialog offers a wide range of pre-defined output settings, so you can simply choose the one that fits your needs, or you can adjust it for custom results. Miraplacid Publisher supports multi-page TIFF, JPEG, TGA, PNG and BMP. You can also use it to print to paper, and select from several multi-page and scaling options as well as color saturation settings and more.

1-More PhotoCalendar lets you create simple, printable calendars, using your own pictures. You can optionally add comments and a title to each page and also select the size of the calendar/image and add a few effects. The start and end dates of the calendar are user configurable. The trial version is limited to black and white printing.

Acoustica CD/DVD Label Maker enables you to design and print CD and DVD labels, using a variety of template designs, background images, text labels and more. The program can automatically import the tracks from an Audio CD or a playlist and print them on the label and jewel case inserts. You can also use the included templates or your own clipart to design custom labels for any occasion. The program supports most major stock label manufacturers as well as Lightscribe technology. Other features include spiral and curved text support, ready-to-use layout templates, automatic printer alignment, Video DVD / Chapter support and more.

CMB AutoDoc is a virtual print driver that can email, fax and archive your documents by simply from any software that supports the Print command. You can simply select the AutoDoc printer entry instead of your regular paper printer and the program will process your document based on the embedded comments. In order to make this work, you need to add a line of text to the document that indicates the email address or phone number of the recipient. By default the program is configure to look for invisible white text on white background, but you can change this to a color of your choice. While this seems to be a convenient way to process documents, it also limits the use to documents that you have full editing control over, and is probably not suitable for images, drawings or similar documents. CMB AutoDoc can email documents with optional attachments, archive documents in PDF format (also based on colored text tags), integrate with Goldmine and more. The program will work well if you are aware of the limitations and requirements to make it work.
