RoboTask enables you to automate any combination of tasks on your computer, ranging from simply launching web pages, to checking email, moving or backing up files to uploading or downloading, sending email and much more. The program allows to easily create simple task, as well as highly complex automations, involving conditional IF/ELSE statements, loops, custom variables and other advanced options. It can accommodate just about any type of simple or complex automation, without the need to create batch files or write complicated scripts, as it uses a visual interface that lets you simply select and combine action to fit your needs. The extensive support for conditional actions allows you to not only create automated task, but they can also be executed automatically if certain conditions apply (e.g if a file is moved, if your internet connection goes down, if there is new email etc.). RoboTask can run as NT Service, allowing you to have automated tasks take place, even if you are not logged on. A powerful tool, that provides one of the highest levels of flexibility in its class.

NoClone allows you to safely find and remove true duplicate files and Outlook email messages. It does not rely on CRC checksums, but uses real-time byte-to-byte comparison to detect duplicate files regardless of file names. The program allows you to limit the search to specific file types (images, programs etc.) as well as by size, date and location. You can then choose to delete, move or copy any of the files, or export the result list to CSV format. In addition to duplicates, the program also offers support for fuzzy search matches which enables you to find files that may not be exact duplicates but appear to be very similar.

Useful File Utilities is a file browser, that combines several different file management tools into a single interface. It includes a text replacement utility (Replacer), a file renaming tool with preview (Renamer) and a file search tool(Finder). In addition, it provides quick access to all your drives from the toolbar and offers a handy Basket feature, that allows you to collect files from multiple locations for later processing with any of the included tools. Additional features include support for plug-ins, command line support and more.

Active@ UNDELETE is a data recovery software that helps to recover lost, deleted and formatted data on local and network drives, as well as removable drives and digital media like Secure Digital, CompactFlash, SmartMedia, MemoryStick etc. The program supports FAT12, FAT16, FAT32 and NTFS files on any Windows systems including servers versions. In addition, the program supports EFS (Encrypting File System) file recovery, damaged RAID reconstruction and also allows you to create a disk image to further protect your data.

WinMount enables you to mount ZIP, RAR, ISO, and BIN files to a new virtual drive, allowing you to access the files without the need to extract them first. The program can also mount folders as well as CD and DVD images in various formats. WinMount offers a simple interface and also integrates with Windows Explorer, allowing you to mount supported files and folders from the right-click menu.

Vistanita Duplicate Finder enables you to find duplicate files on your computer, even if the file names are different. The program uses byte-by-byte comparison to locate identical files within the specified folders on your hard drive. FlexTk Ultimate is an advanced file management toolkit that enables you to classify and categorize files, find duplicates, free-up storage space, copy/move or synchronize large numbers of files and much more. You can scan drives or folders and view a report of how your storage space is utilized by file type. The program automatically categorizes your files by general types (e.g. multimedia files, executables, documents etc.) and allows you to drill down further to view results for individual files types and eventually a list of all files within the group. FlexTk Ultimate also offers rule-based file copy and data migration, real-time disk monitoring to detect file changes, duplicate file search, disk cleanup features, MD5, SHA1 or SHA256 and more.

PikySuite is a handy utility that extends the folder and file management capabilities of Windows. It includes PikyBasket, a right-click extension that allows you to collect files from different locations into a virtual basket, and then copy, move, compress or paste them at once. Also included are PikyFolders, an easy way to access your favorite folders with a single click, as well as PikyTools, a tool that lets you change folder icons, copy folder paths and more.

UltraCompare Professional is a powerful file and folder comparison tool that enables you to view, compare or merge the content of individual text/binary files or entire folders in a side-by-side view. It supports line-by-line comparison with options to merge the content in different ways, as well as smart binary compare, 3-way compare, content synchronization/merging with Undo and more. You can fully customize the comparison process with options to ignore certain differences and custom filters. Other features include FTP support, printable summary reports, IE browser support (to visually compare HTML files), customizable display settings, command line options, Windows Explorer shell integration and much more.

FilerFrog is a shell extension for Windows Explorer that enables you to manipulate file from the right click menu. It includes features for file renaming, image resizing, file encryption as well as simple file organizing. You can also create PDF albums for selected images and create a text list of all files contained in a folder.

In addition to the undelete functionality, the program also provides the ability to clear any recoverable files (for privacy reasons). Evaluation limit can recover files up to 64kb in size.

Compare It! is a powerful file compare and merge tool. The program compares any two files and highlights the differences within lines. You can quickly scan from one difference to the next, bookmark selected items and more. The program also offers a by-difference merge option which allows you to quickly transfer or remove the differences. Additional features include an editing mode, Windows Explorer integration, statistical overview and more.

Docsvault Professional is a document management software that enables you to store all your important documents in a central repository, organize them into cabinets and folders, track changes via audit trails and version history, burn selected documents to CD/DVD and more. You can import paper documents directly from your scanner and automatically convert the scanned document to PDF, TIFF or other digital formats. Other features include a built-in task manager with reminders and linked documents, integrated document search engine, backup/restore, tabbed interface and automatic file versioning. Docsvault Professional also comes with a PDF printer driver that allows you to convert any document to PDF via the standard print command.

Effective File Search (EFS) is a powerful, yet easy to use search tool, that allows you to search for files on your computer or local network. The program looks very similar to the standard Windows search dialog, but offers several additional features that extend the search capabilities. In addition to that it offers a variety of options to process the found files - you can move/copy all of them or selected items, rename them to upper or lower case, copy file names and more. You can search in folders or within results with optional filters that include date and size, containing text or hexadecimal codes. In addition, you can use Boolean operators to perform multiple keyword searches. Search results and parameters can be saved.

STG FolderPrint Plus allows you to print and visualize your folders. You can use it to find out where your hard drive space went, or get an easy to read list of all your MP3 files, including MP3 info. STG FolderPrint Plus also allows you to set a filter to include only the files you want and customize both display and printed output to your taste. The output is highly graphical and includes the file type icons and folder hierarchy. Lists can include MP3 and ZIP extra information, and you can export to ASCII, CSV, JPG, PNG or HTML.

Duplicate Image Finder enables you to find duplicate images on your computer. It compares images by their content, and can find duplicates, even if the file size and name are different, or the image has been resized or slightly modified. You can set the level of required match in percentage, and thereby extend the range of files that are considered duplicates. The found duplicates can be compared side-by-side and then be deleted or moved. Duplicate Image Finder can compare JPEG, BMP (bitmap), and GIF files. No documentation provided.

Directory Lister Pro lets you list all the files you have in selected directories on your hard disk, cd-rom, floppy etc. You can select individual directories and then save the list as text, CSV or HTML file. You can customize the report output in many aspects, include or exclude details, specify sorting, background color and more.

Smart Undelete is a file unerase and data recovery software that works with hard drives and removable disks, including USB sticks (but not with media cards). It is simple to operate, just select the drive and press the scan button, and view the list of files that can be recovered. The program can limit the search to specific file types or extensions, and also offers an option to save and restore to/from an image file. Smart Undelete only performs a quick surface scan, and does not have the recovery capabilities of more advanced tools.

ZipScan is a program that performs a fast file search which includes looking inside archive files, such as Zip files. This can be useful if you have lots of documents archived in Zip files and need to be able to search for specific documents. It is also useful when looking for a particular DLL from a set of CAB installation files, and for Java programmers who need to search through their JAR archives. ZipScan supports standard and extended wildcard pattern searches as well as a grep style pattern search. It can scan entire directories/subdirectories as well as ZIP files within archives. Performs fast and efficient.

RecentX keeps track of all files, folders, programs and websites that you use and allows you to instantly access them later, without having to search through history lists or favorites. The program provides a tabbed interface that organizes the recently accessed files by type, and you can further customize the filtering by adding custom keywords, that allow you to quickly filter the history to find specific types of files. When you right-click on an entry in the RecentX interface, you have also access to common file operations such as copy, paste, delete and more.

FileMonkey is a file management tool, that automates many common file management tasks. It offers search and replace (content and file names), file splitting, renaming, attribute changing, changing case and more. You can also encrypt files, permanently wipe free space and erase files. In addition, FileMonkey can be used to create batch files and append strings to file names, or to extract text from inside files and more.

AccelMan is an innovative all-in-one alternative to the standard Windows Explorer. It offers a multi-window environment with integrated tools like File Managers, media player (32 formats) graphics viewer (30 formats), as well as file viewing and editing of MS Office, HTML, ASCII, fonts and hexadecimal files. Additional features include archiving, e-mail support, bookmarks, search capabilities and directory compare and monitoring tools. Unlike the standard Windows copy/move options, TeraCopy can resume broken file transfers, skip and report bad files (without terminating the transfer) and calculate CRC checksums . Dynamically adjusted buffers reduce seek time when transferring files between two physical drives. Once installed, TeraCopy integrates with the Windows Explorer right-click menu and can also be set as the default copy handler.

AcuteFinder is a file management tool that enables you to find and manage duplicate files of any type. AcuteFinder supports scanning within compressed archives, CRC caching, finding of empty folders, checksum calculation for selected files and more.

Advanced File Manager is a disk space and file reporting tool that allows you to explorer your hard drive and view the size of files and folders on a pie chart display or in a Data Explorer view. You can create reports and export them to CSV or HTML format. In addition, you can search for folders and files by size, access a command prompt, view thumbnail displays for images and more.

Clone Hunter is a tool to find duplicate files on your computer. You can scan selected drives/folders and have the program compare files based on their name, size, date, content and extension (each or all) and then present you with a list of files that are identical. You can then decide which files to delete. Clone Hunter also allows you to exclude specific folders and limit the search to certain file extensions or file sizes.

SpaceMan 99 helps you to organize files and manage disk space. It scans selected folders or drives and shows the total disk space used by each folders and at the same time finds and marks duplicate files and folders. You can mark files while browsing the Explorer-style interface and produce a list later that lets you delete them, or you can delete them immediately. FoldMonkey can be used to organize server log files, downloaded programs, and many other purposes that require automatic file management. It can optionally run as NT service.

AnyWhere Pro is a file management powertool, that allows you to right-click on files and folders to copy, move, zip, rename, or securely delete them. You can also easily copy filenames to the clipboard, replace text within multiple files and make groups of files and folders writable. The program integrates in the Windows Explorer right-click menu and offers a small interface for each of the functions when selected. If you frequently move or copy files, you will find the one-click copy/move feature very handy, as well as the integrated favorites for your frequently used locations.

WinNc.Net is a dual pane file manager that can be used as replacement for Windows Explorer. It uses the same shell extensions (right-click menu) and adds many additional features, including folder synchronization, encryption, zip/unzip, as well as file splitting and merging. WinNc.Net also includes CD ripping with conversion to MP3, integrated CD burning, file backup and an FTP client. In addition, it offers all the standard file manager features, including copy, move, rename, file filters, sorting etc.

Visual Comparer enables you to compare text files side by side, and view the differences highlighted in color. The program not only highlights the line that contains the difference, but also the individual change, down to a single character. You can the selectively transfer changes from the left to the right or vice versa. Visual Comparer is primarily designed for web developers or programmers, and supports customizable syntax highlighting for the most popular scripting languages including C++, C#, JavaScript, Perl, Visual Basic, HTML, Perl, VBScript and Pascal (Delphi). The program can also generate HTML reports that visually demonstrate file differences - very handy if you need to publish the results.

Sprintbit File Manager is a full featured multi-pane file manager that includes all the standard file management features (copy, move, rename etc.), as well as many advanced functionalities including folder synchronization, file encryption, FTP transfer, integrated file and media viewer, zip archiver and much more. The program even includes CD/DVD burning and a drive space explorer with statistical pie charts. Sprintbit File Manager offers 3 independent dual-pane views, as well as a 4-pane display in addition to folder and drive information. Additional features include drag and drop support, mass file renaming, startup manager, file shredding, file splitting and merging and more.

TaskTracker automatically tracks all registered types of documents, including images, MP3 files, zip files and more. It works similarly to the Windows Recent Documents feature, but organizes files by type regardless of location in the Windows file system, which makes it easier to find and access a particular item. In addition, it automatically keeps a long-term history, allowing you to go back several days, weeks or even months, and provides quick access to files that you have recently deleted or renamed.

LabelsWin allows you to apply color marks (labels) to your file and folder icons. It is available from the right-click menu, and allows you to mark selected files in a color of your choice, each associated with a label (cool, personal, important etc.). The program is useful to highlight or mark important files, so they can be spotted easily, without using a different icon. Unfortunately you cannot add your own categories, nor edit the available colors. (Note: The program resets your desktop icon layout and modifies the file date of labeled files.)

SPACEWatch Pro (Network Edition) enables you to search and analyze network space usage. It supports disk space management across Windows, Active Directory, Netware NDS, and UNIX systems. It can collect general space usage statistics as well as custom directory or file reports that can be searched and analyzed. You can save the entire dataset and later compare it to detect changes. The reports can be published in a variety of formats including HTML, Adobe Acrobat, Excel or Word. XTempo Move It is a tool to quickly copy or move files from one location (e.g a memory card) to another folder. You can rename the files by date, or append an incremental number to avoid overwriting of existing files. The program also offers to optionally copy the files to a second location (e.g a notebook), allowing you to create an instant backup of the copied files.

xplorer2 is a dual-pane file manager that can be used to replace the standard Windows Explorer. It offers a familiar tree-view structure, sortable column headers and access to the standard Explorer right-click menu, along with many additional features. You can quickly filter files by extension, compare files in different folders, find duplicates, preview file and archive content, view folder statistics and more. xplorer2 offers various features that let you customize the interface and the way that files are displayed, you can color code files that match a certain rule, create custom toolbars and keyboard shortcuts, customize column display and more. Other features include folder synchronization, file shredding, and advanced file search.

Handy Folders adds a toolbar to Windows Explorer, that enables you to switch to your favorite folders or other drives with a single click. You can customize the list of folders, and also access them from the system tray icon for quick access from your desktop.

Directory Report is a file manager designed to scan large hard drives to find duplicate files, rename files, locate large files and folder, print folder content and more. It provides a simple interface that will appeal to technical users. Other features include display filters, MP3 support (for renaming based on ID tags), customizable print options, batch deleting of duplicates and directory comparison. You can also change file dates and owner information for one or multiple files, and view directory sizes from within the file explorer.

ShellLess Explorer is a Windows Explorer replacement that offers all the standard Explorer features in addition to a tabbed multi-panel interface, customizable toolbars and a variety of other features designed to improve the efficiency of file management. Among the enhancement are a to-do cart for file processing, detailed file access history by day, a list of favorite folders and files, quick file filtering, file search and more. Other features include drag and drop between panels, customizable keyboard commands, interface themes and more.

Better File Select is a Windows Explorer shell extension that allows you to quickly select multiple files that share the same criteria. You can select based on extension, date, EXIF data, contain, wildcards and even regular expressions. The choices can be made from an easy to use dialog and drop down menus.

View Folder Size Pro (formerly TotalSize) is a handy add-on for Windows Explorer, that enables you to add a new column to the detailed file view, that displays the total size for folders as well as files. While Windows shows you the size for all files, it does not show the size for folders - this little program can overcome the limitation. In addition, it includes and Internet FileSize tool that enables you to get the file size, redirection URL and estimated download time for most download links, without having to download the file first.

FolderHighlight enables you to mark important folders in a different color icon to make them easier to spot when browsing through Windows Explorer. Even though Windows already allows you to customize folder icons for this purpose, FolderHighlight is a little easier to use as it integrates into the Explorer right-click menu, so you can quickly mark any folder without having to go through additional dialogs. Only works with folders, not with documents.

FileAnt is a multi-pane file manager that runs in the system tray andoffers a variety of file management features. Unlike Windows Explorer, it offers panes and allows you to open 2 folders (plus tree) side by side, and move files via drag and drop between them. You can even open additional folders which will be available from a tab bar, allowing you to easily switch between multiple location. In addition to the standard file management features, FileAnt offers file renaming, folder compare, file synchronization, integrated file viewers, ZIP support, file filters and more. FileAnt also includes a pie chart display for disk and folder content, as well as full support for FTP sites.

ATopSoft FileCake is a file search tool duplicate finder and secure file shredder. You find duplicate files using MD5 checksum, byte by byte or line by line comparison, and then copy, move or delete selected files. The program can also compare mp3 files by content, or by the data contained in ID3 tags (title, artist, album, comment,etc.). The included file shredder can delete files DoD or Gutmann standards. Additional features include quick file search, search within results and more.

CiAN Text Replacer is a text replacement utility that can search through your files and replace text strings and/or insert text before or after the occurrence of a string. You can also convert lower case to upper case and vice versa, and save your profiles for later use. The program can combine multiple replacement rules into a single batch and automatically create a backup of the files that were altered. Other features include Windows Explorer integration, test mode, exporting of rules to CSV and more.

Folder Pilot provides quick access to frequently used folders from the Explorer right-click menu and address bar. You can select folders to be included in right-click menu, and also add special items like Recent, Explore and Windows system folders. The Folder Pilot shortcut menu can be used within Windows Explorer, the Open/Save dialogs, as well as from the desktop.

Space Hound is a file management utility that lets you find duplicate or redundant files. You can limit the search results by file date, size, type and other criteria and choose between 3 different matching methods. The duplicate file found can then be deleted, moved, copied or archived. File Hound includes a variety of options that can be used with the search results, including hex view, file name copy, folder view, thumbnail preview and a analysis feature that makes it easier for novice users to decide which files to delete. The program also includes a disk space explorer, an option to delete junk files, folder content printing and folder synchronization. Space Hound offers quite a few features, but the interface could use some improvements and modernizing.

X2Net Recent Documents automatically keeps track of every document and file you use, and allows you to quickly access them as needed. It integrates with Windows Explorer and allows you to access your documents by type, date or custom category groupings. Even though Windows already offers a recent document feature, this application greatly extends the capabilities by adding itself as a system folder, that can be accessed from all Windows dialogs. There are no additional interfaces to learn, you can simply access your recent files from any file dialog (Open, Save etc.) as well as from the Windows Explorer tree and the Start Menu. You can further customize the documents to be tracked by creating simple rules to include/exclude files based on user defined masks. A simple, yet very efficient way to access your recently used files and folders.

IndexSWF is a simple add-on for Windows Explorer, that displays SWF files as thumbnail images of the first frame, rather than a file icon. This allows for easier navigation of your Flash file collection. If you have Google Desktop Search installed, it can also display thumbnails in your desktop search results.

Visual Similarity Duplicate Image Finder enables you to find duplicate images based on visual similarities within the image. Unlike traditional duplicate finders, this program `looks` at your images to determine whether they are duplicates or not and can find them even if the file name, format and size are different or the images have been rotated. You can specify a percentage of image similarity that will be used during the scan and thereby limit or extend the search results. The program presents the duplicates as pairs and can automatically select files for further processing based on the size and dimension. You can then choose to delete the marked files or move them to a folder of your choice. Visual Similarity Duplicate Image Finder also supports standard duplicate search based on CRC checksums and matching file sizes. Other features include RAW support for more than 100 digital cameras and targeted photo search, which allows you to find images that are similar to a loaded sample image.

Quick File Duplicator is a simple utility that enables you to create duplicate files from any number of files or folders. You can choose the number of duplicates to create, as well as the output directory. The program offers full Unicode support and can create duplicates for files of any language.

JesCopy is an advanced backup and synchronization tool that can perform a variety of complex copy tasks. You can synchronize files and folders, create rules that handle file conflicts, set file filters, move files from one location to another, create directory structures and more.
