Disk Cataloging

Smart CD Catalog Professional is a simple disc cataloging tool that can index all your CDs/DVDs and allows you to organize them into categories and add personal comments. If you need to find a specific file on a disc, you can use the built-in search feature and locate the file without having to manually search through your CDs. The program can also keep track of discs that were lend to friends and produce a statistical report for your entire collection.

Broken Cross Disk Manager allows you to catalog your disk collection as well as local folders or hard drives. It can index the content of archive files (ACE, ARJ, CAB, RAR and and ZIP) and supports CDDB and FreeDB lookup for Audio Cds. All the information is stored in a database, so you can search through your collection without having to insert the actual disks. Additional features include optional password protection, customizable export options and extended functionality through the use of plug-ins. The graphics plug-in (needs to be downloaded) enables you to extract thumbnails for image files and store them in the database, which allows you to preview pictures without inserting the disk.

MCataloguer is a cataloging software for disks and other removable media as well as local folders. It can catalog any number of files and offers special support for music files and photos, by adding special fields relevant to the type. It also supports freedb to gather information about an audio CD from the internet (album name, track titles, artist info etc.). For image collections, you can choose between a file list or a thumbnail view. MCataloguer also lets you enter additional information for each item, including price, location, comment, cover and more. InfoLayout enables you to catalog your CD, DVD, hard discs, removable and network drives, so that you can search through their content without having the physical drive or media inserted. The program can create thumbnail previews of image and video files, extract meta information from audio and video files and full-text index documents, and then store the information in a searchable index that allows you to search through your content without having to insert the disk or drive. Other features include CDDB support to look-up AudioCD information, XML export, printable disk reports, storing of web links and more.

ImageCD Catalog enables you to catalog your photo CDs and browse and/or search through them by thumbnail images, without the need to insert the original CD. You can add keywords to each disk, search for photos by name, keyword or file date and review cached thumbnails of the original images, making it easier to find a specific photo. Other features include file format filters, adjustable thumbnail size and quality, slide show display and export to MS Access database.

CD Catalog Expert is tool to organize and maintain a catalog of your digital media collection, including CD-ROMs, drives, audio CDs, MP3s, removable disks and so on as well as local folders. It allows you to keep track of a large CD collection, files on removable drives etc. without actually having to insert or connect the media. You can search through the indexed catalogs, organize them in categories and more. In addition, you can create printable HTML and text reports. CD Catalog Expert comes with an easy to use interface and integrates into Windows Explorer by adding a "Add to Catalog" option to the context menu.

Ruby is a database-driven program for cataloging CDs, DVDs and other offline media. The program scans and indexes your CDs and allows you to search through them and locate files just like the Windows Find feature - without the CD in the drive. You can also catalog floppies, Zip disks, other removable media, and even hard drives. Additional features include the ability to read in contents of compressed files, MP3 support and a Disc cover editor. Ruby is easy to use and fast performing and if you don`t like the ruby red interface color, you can change it.

CD Storage Master allows yo to index the content of your CDs and DVDs, so that you can search for files without having to insert the actual disc. It supports file properties (size, date etc.) as well as Metadata including MP3 ID3 tags, MS Office documents, EXIF information from digital photos and more. You can organize your disc by type (Audio, Data, Video) and also maintain a list of favorites. Additional features include CDDB support to lookup audio track information over the Internet, export of CD indexes, support for meta data and compressed files and more.

CDVista enables you to scan your photo CDs or removable drives and store thumbnail images of the pictures on your PC. This allows you to search for files (pictures) without the need for inserting the actual CD. The program can optionally extract meta data contained in audio files, internet files, text files and digital images. CDVista offers a thumbnail browser and a file view, as well as extensive search functionality to quickly locate your images - all you have to do is insert the disk, and the program can automatically open or retrieve the selected images.

Advanced CATaloguer Pro is a file cataloging utility that allows you to create searchable indexes from removable media (CDs, DVDs etc.) as well as local folders, drives and other types of storage media. These indexes can be searched, even if the media is not connected or the CD/DVD not inserted in the drive. The program catalogs images and data from the media, and allows you to perform searches using Boolean expressions, file names, descriptions, notes, words, phrases, text segments, MS Office document summaries, file size and date of creation parameters. It supports IDE3 tag parameters (like album or author names, song titles, etc), and can also find duplicated files by name or CRC32 code.
