E-mail Security & Encryption

BCArchive enables you to protect your confidential files by adding them to a secure, password protected container. To access the files, all you have to do is enter the archive password and open it to view or edit the files. You can also create a self-extracting version, that allows you to send secure archives by email, that can be opened with the proper password, but do not require BCArchive to be installed on the PC. The program supports strong symmetric encryption algorithms such as Blowfish, IDEA, Triple-DES, CAST5 as well as secure hash algorithms (SHA-1, MD5, RIPEMD-160) and asymmetric (public/secret key) algorithms. Additional features include Windows Explorer integration, send by email, public key manager and more.

Cryptainer PE enables you to create a secure container on your PC, using powerful 256/448 bit strong encryption - without changing the way you work. The software creates new virtual drive letter(s), and all files that are added to this drive are encrypted on-the-fly. You can also create a secure storage container on any media including external and removable drives (e.g. USB drives, CD etc). The drive letter is accessible through Windows Explorer just like any other drive - as long as you are logged into the Cryptainer PE interface. If the program is terminated, the files in the secure drive are no longer accessible to other users - you can access them at any time by logging in with your password. Using this method, you can automatically keep a secure area, that can only be accessed by you, without having to encrypt individual files manually - just login once. In addition, Cryptainer PE allows you to send files with encrypted email messages, using self-decrypting EXE attachments that do not require any software to be installed by the recipient.

MailSecurity for Exchange/SMTP is an email content checking, exploit detection, threats analysis and anti-virus solution that removes all types of email-borne threats before they can affect your email users. MailSecurity s key features include multiple virus engines, for better protection; email content and attachment checking, to quarantine dangerous emails; an exploit shield, to perform email intrusion detection & defence; and an email threats engine, to analyse & defuse HTML scripts, .exe files & more. The software is available for VS API or as a gateway version - The VS API version integrates with Exchange Server 2000 and scans the Exchange 2000 information stores. The gateway version should be deployed at the perimeter of the network as a mail relay server. MailSecurity for Exchange/SMTP can also be used for free, using a single virus scanning engine, which makes it a great no-cost solution for small mail servers.

Secure IT is an easy to use file encryption program that protects all your files and folders using 448bit strong Blowfish encryption or AES encryption. You can encrypt any type of file (documents, movies, pictures etc.) and also create self-decrypting EXE files that can be sent as email attachment and the recipient does not need to install any software in order to decrypt it. Secure IT also includes a secure file shredder that lets you delete files beyond recovery. The program is easy to use and offers step-by-step wizards to encrypt and decrypt your files.

Attach Plus allows you to automatically convert, compress or password protect files or documents when sending them as email attachment. The program works with Outlook, Outlook Express, ACT, Groupwise and Goldmine and springs into action whenever you attach a file to an email message. You then have the option to convert the file(s) to PDF, create a zip file and optionally password protect them. In addition, Attach Plus can also integrate with the Windows SendTo option and attach/convert files directly from Windows Explorer. The program makes it easy to automatically convert most types of files (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint files), to PDF as you attach them to your e-mail.

Secure Information Courier brings secure email encryption to your organization`s web site. It enables visitors to send secure email to your organization and even convey digital documents securely using industry standard encryption. Secure Information Courier is easy to use, a wizard will guide you through the creation of your secure email sending executable. Once finished and uploaded to the web server, your visitors can securely securely send email and attachments to you. To decode the message, you would use the Crypto Anywhere Decoder (included) and simply paste the message to decrypt it or use SecExMail (included) to automatically decrypt messages as they arrive.

noHTML for Outlook Express is an add-on that protects Outlook Express from email viruses and email scripts such as Klez and Co. By converting incoming email messages from HTML format to simple text, the program lets you read your emails more quickly, and eliminates the danger posed by most email-borne attacks. noHTML adds a new button to the Outlook Express toolbar, that allows you to quickly enable or disable HTML with a single click.

SoftClan e-cryptor can be used to quickly and easily send encrypted emails that need nothing but the password to decrypt. In addition, you can encrypt sensitive files and folders on your hard drive or removable media as well as Back-up files. SoftClan e-cryptor uses the powerful AES encryption algorithm. Your default email program is used to send the encrypted message, either as EXE or CAB attachment.

Benign is an email filtering tool, that removes potentially harmful components from incoming email messages. It recognizes harmful attachments, e-mail worms, non-standard HTML, scripts, web bugs and other e-mail borne threats and modifies potentially dangerous messages produce an entirely safe e-mail. The program offers 3 security levels and each can be customized by the experienced user, and also bypassed by specifying domains and senders to exclude. Benign maintains a log of all processed messages and can generate statistical reports, which can also be sent to your inbox on a daily basis. The program does not provide any spam content filtering, but only removes potentially harmful components of messages.

Fortress Mail allows you to encrypt your outgoing email messages. It uses your existing email program (such as Outlook, Outlook Express or Eudora) via MAPI to send and receive encrypted messages and attachments. Fortress Mail uses the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) and HS1 to make sure that your messages are safe and cannot be cracked. The program is fairly simple to use and provides a very basic interface. The receiver of the encrypted messages must have the valid password and also a copy of Fortess Mail installed in order to decrypt your message. Additional features include an integrated authentication database. Fortess Mail is compatible with most protocols including POP3, IMAP, SMTP, ESMTP and X400, however only works via MAPI.
