Folder Lock is an easy to use tool to create a password protected folder, that you can use to store all your sensitive files and documents. The folder is completely hidden while it is locked, and the files and folders contained in the Locker are unaccessible from Windows Explorer or even DOS mode. The program is very easy to use, it offers a simplistic interface that lets you unlock/lock and open the protected folder, and then simply drag new files into the Locker. Folder Lock offers 3 different protection methods (lock, scramble and 256-bit Blowfish encryption). You don`t have to keep folder lock running all the time in order to keep your files protected, just launch it when you need to gain access to your protected area or want to add new files. The program is completely self-contained, and you can use it to protect removable drives (e.g USB drives) and transfer data securely from one location to another without the need to install any software. Additional features include file shredding, stealth mode, hack attempt monitoring and more.

ComputerTime enables parents to set limits on the amount of time and the time-of-day when their children can use the computer. Whenever the computer is used, the user must log on with a password, and the limitations that are set for his/her account become active. You can set different limitations for each user, and also generate a list of codes (tokens) that can be given to a user to temporarily extend usage time. The user has also the option to pause time tracking by logging off or switching to Away mode. ComputerTime offers flexible limitation options, based on regular schedules, as well as daily limitations and weekend exceptions. The software provides no control over what your children are doing on the computer, the assigned computer time can be used any way they want, and does not limit or prevent Internet access.

1st Security Agent enables you to set a wide range of access restrictions for your computer. You can limit access to the Control Panel, Start Menu, Taskbar and many other areas, and also prevent registry editing, system changes, hide configuration options, drives and more. More than 500 tweaks are organized into categories, and you can simply check the ones that you want to apply. Furthermore, you can also create custom Desktops, Favorites, Startup items and Start Menus on a per-user basis and secure various Internet Explorer settings.

Hide Folders XP allows you to select up to 64 folders of your choice to hide and protect with a password. The selected folders will become invisible, and are impossible to find, or remove without the proper password. This allows you to leave your computer unattended without having to worry that someone will access your private data. In addition, the program clears Recent Documents and Recycle Bin items belonging to hidden folders and removes itself from the list of installed program, it works even if a computer has been started in safe mode.

Lock My PC is an easy to use application that locks your computer when you click the tray icon. It shows a locked screen (you can use a custom image) and disables Windows hot keys and mouse. In addition, the program can log any unauthorized password-entry attempts and there is also an option to keep your PC locked during a power failure or if a stranger switches it off and on.

AceSpy is a computer activity monitoring solution, that enables you to keep track of everything that is done on your computer, including emails that were sent, web sites visited, chat conversations (AOL, ICQ, MSN, Yahoo! and AIM), as well as keystrokes, passwords and more. In addition, the program can take screen captures of the desktop activity and automatically email them along with a report to a specified email address for remote monitoring. Furthermore, AceSpy can also block specific web sites or programs, so that they cannot be accessed at all, or block web content based on specific keywords. Other features include support for remote web cam surveillance, instant SMS or email alerts, and more. The trial has a time limit of 30 minutes per session.

RESTrick enables you to set a variety of Windows restrictions that prevent access to system options, right-click menus commands, security settings and many other Windows options. In addition, you can hide drives and desktop icons, edit boot options, prevent file sharing and more. Most of the restriction can be set on a per-user basis, allowing you to create different profiles for each Windows user account.

Free Hide Folder enables you to hide personal folders from prying eyes or unauthorized access. Once hidden the folders are no longer visible from within Windows Explorer. You can select one or more folders and toggle their hide/show status from the password protected interface. An integrated backup options enables you to backup your folder settings (not the data) to a file.

iProtectYou Pro allows you to control what web sites can be visited, what programs can have Internet access. You can also block e-mails, chat sessions and instant messages with inappropriate words, stop annoying ads, and/or restrict internet time to a administrator defined schedule. Each member of your family or office can be assigned a different level of restrictions (or none). The program can optionally send notification e-mails with full description of blocked operation and an attached screen-shot, allowing you to stay informed even if you are away from home. iProtectYou Pro also provides detailed graphical statistics about all blocked activities, web sites visited, programs used and more. There is no need to configure inappropriate sites, as the program comes with a large database of potentially offensive sites, that is always kept updated for you.

WinLock allows you to control access to your computer, documents and programs. You can control how long others can use your computer, disable Windows hot keys (such as Alt-Ctrl-Del, Alt-Tab, Ctrl-Esc, etc.), lock the desktop, customize the Start menu, hide the Start button and more. You can also disable Windows by name (wildcards supported), access to folders, and selected programs. To disable all protection and use the computer unrestricted, the correct password must be entered.

Advanced Parental Control enables parents to control, restrict and monitor their children`s PC usage. You can set up scheduled times during which the child is allowed to use the computer or the Internet, and automatically log off the account if the time is used up. In addition to setting time limits, you can keep track of text that is typed, maintain a log of websites that were visited, and even restrict access to programs and websites. Advanced Parental Control can be configured on a per user basis, allowing you to assign custom restrictions to each Windows user account. Other features include screenshot capture of desktop and application activity, system restrictions, website blocking by keyword and more.

SentryPC enables you to control, restrict and monitor access and usage of your PC. You can control how long and when users are allowed to use the computer, prevent the use of specific programs, block access to certain websites, restrict access to Windows functions like Control Panel and more. SentryPC can also block chat activities, and intercept the user if specific keywords (of your choice) are typed in an email, URL, document or other input area. In addition to access control, the program can also record all activities, including keystrokes, chats and more. SentryPC offers a complete solution for any type of PC access control, ranging from basic time management, to complete surveillance and child proofing of your PC.

DeviceLock gives network administrators control over which users can access what removable devices (floppies, Magneto-Optical disks, CD-ROMs, ZIPs, etc.) on a local computer. Once DeviceLock is installed, administrators can control access to floppies, CD-ROMs, WiFi (802.11) and Bluetooth adapters or any other device, depending on the time of day and day of the week. DeviceLock Me enhances access control for Windows System Administrators and helps control removable disk usage. It can protect network and local computers against viruses, Trojans and other malicious programs often injected from removable disks. Network administrators can also use DeviceLock to flush a storage device s buffers. Remote control is also available.

SiteKiosk lets you turn any computer into a secure, multi-lingual Internet access terminal that allows the user to access the Internet, but not the underlying operating system and files. It works with normal display as well as Touchscreens, and does not require the use of a keyboard, as the user can use a virtual on-screen keyboard to enter text. The program offers a step-by-step wizard that allows you to customize the protection levels to your needs. This includes browser settings, web site restrictions, file access, web cam usage and much more. SiteKiosk supports different payment methods like coin machines, bill acceptors, smart cards and others. Additional features include detailed logging, remote administrative access, customizable browser skins, support for more than 20 languages and much more.

Access Boss allows you to restrict computer access for specified users. You can limit access by day of the week and time of day, and/or set a maximum work time limit per user. If the user attempts to logon during restricted times, he/she will receive a notice dialog instead. If a maximum work limit has been reached, the user can be logged off or the computer shut down - both with an optional grace period. Additional features include statistics, network support and more.

Folder Security Personal allows you to hide and lock folders and files. You can choose to hide them completely or restrict access by making them read-only ,thereby preventing modification or deletion by other users or programs. The program can also lock local hard disks as well as Floppy drives, CDrom drives and removable disks and supports FAT/FAT32/NTFS. Additional features include support for special folders (My Documents, Send To etc.) and password protected interface. In addition, the program includes features to repair and prevent malicious changes to Internet Explorer.

PC TimeWatch is a PC access control software for parents, that want to restrict access to specific programs or the entire computer. You can configure restrictions on a per-user basis, and create custom rules for each user that define which programs are restricted. You can define daily or weekly rules, for example restrict selected games to be run after 5 PM, while allowing them all day long on weekends, or set a usage limit of X hours per day/week and so on. PC TimeWatch can also restrict access to the computer in the same way, allowing you to set times at which the computer can be used. The program uses a service and on a set of drivers, so it will be running at all times, and includes several measures to prevent tampering.

WinBounds enables parents to child-proof their PC by restricting access to programs that are accessible from the desktop. It completely removes the Start button, as well as system tray icons and the right-click menu and prevents access to Windows Explorer, Control Panel and other system folders. Furthermore you can also block specific Windows based on their title. WinBounds can be enabled from the system tray as needed, and disabled via a keyboard shortcut.

Mouse Tutor is a simple utility that is designed to prevent accidental right-click menus from appearing by turning all mouse clicks into left clicks, regardless of which button was pressed. It is designed to be used with young kids, preventing them from accidentally triggering dialogs or other actions that are available from the right-click menu. Mouse Tutor runs in the system tray and once activated, it will turn any click into a left-click, allowing your child to click their way through websites without having to worry about them getting stuck in a cascade of Windows dialogs.

Double Password enables you to add additional security to your Windows login, by requiring the presence of a USB key, containing a special security token, before you can log on to your computer. You can choose between 2 security levels, one that only requires the USB key during the logon procedure, and a high security mode that requires the USB key to be present during all time that you are using the PC. Once you have installed the program it will prompt you to insert the USB key and will place a security token onto the drive. You can then set your desired security level and the next time you logon, you will be prompted to insert the USB before you can access the login screen. The program also includes a password encoding feature, but due to the lack of documentation, it was unclear how to use that feature.

ActiveScreenLock lets you lock your computer on-demand by placing a password-protected window on top of all the others. The screen can be transparent, so that you can monitor running processes, or you can customize it with a background image or image slideshow. To access the desktop, this screen must be first unlocked with the proper password. The program disables the TaskManager, as well as other common combinations that could usually be used to bypass a window (Alt+F4, Ctrl+Alt+Del, Alt+Tab etc.). The lock can be quickly activated from the tray or it can be set to activate automatically after a certain time of inactivity. Additional features include logging of access attempts, clock display on the lock screen and log file encryption.

DoNotDisturb is a unique program that can help you to enforce self-discipline by allowing you to temporarily disable access to selected programs and websites with the click of a button. It is based on the idea that you are trying to force yourself to get work done, rather than slacking off by playing games or visiting websites during times where you should be more productive. The selected programs or sites can be disabled for a user defined time, and the block can only be bypassed by manually entering a 64 digit random code. If you lack the self-discipline to get your work done, this software may be able to help you - unless of course your desire to slack is so strong that you don`t mind the inconvenience of entering the magic code... The trial version does not expire, but does not support blocking of websites or browsers.

Alparysoft VideoLock for Webcam is a surveillance security system that uses facial image identification technology to control access to your desktop PC. It works in conjunction with a webcam, which is used to identify the person sitting in front of the computer. When the workstation is locked, it will not unlock until a face from the recognition database appears in front of the webcam. You can train the software and add authorized faces easily by having the person sit in front of the PC during training mode. It is not necessary to stare straight-faced into the camera, just sit down in your normal position and the software will recognize you. If for some reason, this is not the case, you can bypass the VideoLock by using a hotkey and entering a password. Alparysoft VideoLock is surprisingly easy to use and works well.

IM Lock enables you to block instant messengers, web browsers, internet phones, file sharing and streaming media. It offers specific support for Skype, iTunes, AOL AIM, MSN Messenger, ICQ, Google Talk and other products. In addition to complete blocking you can also exclude specific web sites from Internet Explorer restrictions, so that the user can only access those selected sites.

Sentry enables you to quickly lock your your PC, so that nobody can access your desktop without the proper password. It offers a customizable lock screen that also includes an option to leave a message for you and can log all actions such as access attempts, incorrect passwords etc. Sentry includes a handy feature that allows you to export the program and settings to a USB stick, Floppy or CD to quickly lock any public workstation you may use while on the road.

Are your children spending too much time chatting? Are employers chatting and getting off task in the office? ChatBlocker is a parental control application for observing and restricting chat conversations. It enables you to easily setup time slots in which you wish to allow chat conversations - and when you do not want to allow them. In addition, you can optionally choose to log all or selected chats that take place during these allowed times. Supported chat applications include AIM/AOL, MSN Messenger, ICQ, Yahoo, mIRC, Trillian, and DeadAIM. The program can be run in stealth mode and also periodically email logs to a specified email address for remote observation of chat activity.

ConnTroll provides an easy way to block or limit access to the Internet for a specific user. After the program is installed, you can only access the Internet if you are logged into ConnTroll, and then only based on the restrictions or time limits that were set by the administrator (if any). For example, you can allow some users to connect during certain hours of the day, while others are blocked out. In addition, it is also possible to limit access by download quotas or setting a maximum limit on the time spent online every day, week or month on a per-user basis. ConnTroll also maintains a Top Users list, that displays statistics regarding time spent online and the amount data transfered. The program can optionally integrated with your existing Windows accounts.

Lock Folder XP lets you hide selected files, folders and drives and protect them with your personal password. Just drag your file, folder or drive onto the interface, or select them from the dialog to activate protection. Once protected, the items are no longer visible and can only be unlocked from the password protected interface. Even if a virus gets introduced to your system, your locked folders cannot be detected, infected or harmed. Lock Folder XP uses U>S Government encryption standards.

FileGhost enables you to restrict access to your files and folders, and even entire drives. You can choose from different protection methods and either block access to selected folders or files, or define specific limitations that prevent users from changing or deleting the protected files. The program includes options to securely lock, hide, deny file reading, deny file writing, prevent deleting, copying, moving, renaming and replacing, and prevent file attributes or file timestamp changes. The interface is easy and straightforward to use, just select (or drag and drop) the files/folders and set the restrictions using checkboxes. The interface can be password protected to prevent tempering with your settings.

Proteg allows you to convert a standard portable USB storage device (or USB flash disk) into a security token, that can be used to securely access your PC. After installation you are prompted for a USB drive and can then select a user account that you want to protect. To access your PC with that account, you will need the created USB key, as well as an additional password - you will always need both, the USB key and the password. This method of login adds additional security and can also counter password keyloggers, as the password alone is useless, even if captured, unless the associated USB drive is present. The program is license for one computer with unlimited user accounts.
