A-PDF Merger is a very simple utility that can combine two or more Acrobat PDF files into a single document. You can define the order of the merged documents, create a bookmark for each file name and also set standard PDF security options. A-PDF Merger can also merge image files (JPEG, PNG, TIF/TIFF, GIF, WMF, EMF) into a multi-page PDF album. The program does not require Adobe Acrobat.

Tiff2PDF Pilot is a simple batch conversion utility that converts TIFF files (including multi-page images) to PDF. It allows you to set security settings for the generated PDF files as well as document information and page order. Rather expensive, considering that it only supports a single format, while most others PDF converters have no limit on formats they support.

HTML2PDF Pilot enables you to convert HTML files to PDF format. You can process individual files, or convert an entire directory at once. The program supports standard PDF features like owner information, fonts embedding, encryption, compression and more. It also offers command-line support for use in batch files or scripts. The program can only convert HTML files, no other formats are supported.

PDF-ShellTools integrates into the Windows right-click menu and adds functionality to split and merge PDF files, as well as an info tip display that displays PDF file information in tooltip on mouseover. The program adds an additional properties page to the default Properties file dialog, that allows you to view and edit the PDF information (author title etc.), as well as 3 right-click tools. You can split a PDF file into individual pages, extract specific pages, and also merge multiple documents, or portions of them - for example you can merge page 3 of document A, page 6 of document B and so on into a newly create PDF file that only contains the pages you selected. The program offers several split rules that allow you to customize the process. Lat but not least, PDF-ShellTools includes a PDF-Anonymizer tool to clear the meta data information contained in PDF files.

PDF Explorer is a PDF file management software and image extraction tool. It allows you to easily gather and add all your pdf files to a database file, that displays an overview of Filename, Title, Subject and Author. You can then search through all the files, view them, batch rename them and more. PDF Explorer can also scan within ZIP files. A useful tool for PDF file management.

novaPDF Pro enables you to convert any printable document to PDF format, including emails, MS Office documents, web pages, text and anything else that can be printed. The program installs as a virtual printer driver and is available from the Print dialog of any application. Instead of your regular (paper) printer, just select the newly added novaPDF Printer and save it as PDF file. Additional features include customizable output resolution and quality settings, PDF security (40/128 bit encryption), embedded fonts, document permissions, compression, custom profiles and more.

ReaSoft PDF Printer enables you to convert any printable document into PDF format. It installs as a virtual printer and is available from any application that offers a print function. You can combine documents, add a watermark and custom footers/headers, set PDF security options and more. ReaSoft PDF Printer supports font embedding and web hyperlinks as well as several options that allow you define how the PDF file is initially viewed. The security options include 40 or 128 bit RC4 encryption as well as file permissions to restrict printing, copying, and user modifications.

eDocPrinter PDF Pro allows you to create PDF files from any printable document, including web pages, MS Office documents, text. It works as a printer driver, enabling you to print from any applications that supports printing - just select the eDoc PDF Printer instead of your paper printer and the document will be converted and saved as PDF file. Features include merging with existing PDF files, PDF security settings, watermarks, stationary, font embedding and much more. You can also create layered PDF files, email the PDF file as attachment, save documents with a auto-number sequence and more. Very well featured at a great price.

PDFtypewriter allows you to open PDF files, edit them, and then save (to proprietary format) and print them. It is an ideal helper to fill out forms such as legal forms, accounting forms and applications. The program allows you to insert text, highlight sections, white-out parts of the document, insert images and more. You can also convert PDF files to tiff, ps, dcx, jpeg, html, and several other formats. PDFtypewriter integrates with Internet Explorer to directly open and edit PDF forms that you are viewing online. It also includes a virtual PDF printer, that lets you convert any document to PDF format. The interface is very basic and could use some work.

A-PDF Restrictions Remover enables you to remove restrictions from PDF files that prevent you from printing, copying or editing the content. The program also allows you to remove the Owner and User password protection. A-PDF Restrictions Remover is easy-to-use and integrates with the Windows right-click menu, allowing you to remove the restrictions of the selected file, or create a copy with the restrictions removed, leaving the original intact.

Copysafe PDF Converter enables you to distribute copy protected PDF files that offer password protection, content expiration, print protection and all other copy methods, including PrintScreen and other screen capture methods. The protected PDF file is converted into a .ENC file that can be viewed with a proprietary viewer, or compiled into a standalone .EXE file for distribution.

Print2PDF enables you to convert any printable document or image to PDF format, by simply selecting the print command from within the application you are using, and selecting the virtual PDF2Print printer from the list. Before the document is converted you can choose from a variety of options that are integrated into the Save dialog. You can add a watermark, assign a digital ID, set PDF security options (password, print restriction, encryption etc.), add a stamp or attachments and choose to send the create PDF file by email. Print2PDF supports 40-bit and 128-bit RC4 encryption to secure sensitive documents. It also includes a macro for MS Word, that can automatically scan the documents for headings, styles and hyperlinks and include them in the created PDF file as bookmarks and clickable web links.

A-PDF Split enables you to split a PDF file into multiple individual files based on existing pages or bookmarks. You can select the page range and also define a custom splitting scheme allowing you to create output files with custom page ranges each. The program supports password protected PDF files, as long as you can provide the password, and creates output that is compatible with Adobe Reader 5 and above. A-PDF Split does not require Adobe Acrobat.

PDFill PDF Editor allows you to create, fill, save, delete, and submit PDF Form Fields without the need for Adobe Acrobat. Just load a PDF file, and if the document contains recognized form fields, they will be automatically highlighted and made available for editing. Otherwise, you can use the text controls to insert text anywhere in the document. The edited file can then be saved, optionally password protected. The program includes a free PDF writer application that can convert any document to PDF via the Print command, as well as a PDF toolbox to merge or split documents, insert watermarks, add header and footer information, merge PDF files, convert images to PDF and more. The PDF writer and toolbox can be kept beyond the evaluation period.

JGS-Scan enables you to scan your documents and save or email them as PDF files or convert them to various image formats. It supports multi-page PDF and TIFF files and provides editing options that allow you to draw on the scanned document, crop sections of the page or add text.

PDF Password Remover can be used to decrypt protected Adobe Acrobat PDF files, that have a password set to prevent printing, editing, selecting and copying. Just select the protected PDF file and press a button and it will be converted to a non-protected PDF file. PDF Password Remover only decrypts edit-protected files, it does NOT decrypt files that have a password set to prevent unauthorized opening of the file. The trial version can only process the first half page from your original PDF file.

Vista PDF Creator enables you to convert any printable document to PDF format, including images, emails, spreadsheets, web pages etc. It installs as a virtual print driver and is available from within any application that supports printing. In order to convert a document, you simply select the Vista PDF Creator printer entry instead of your regular printer. The program supports PDF security and permissions, embedded fonts, automatic saving to a specific folder, as well as image compression and downsampling.

A-PDF Size Splitter enables you to split large PDF files into multiple PDF documents. The program can be useful to overcome file or attachment size limitations. You can specify a target output size, choose a naming scheme for the document splits and also maintain existing password protection (if any). A-PDF Size Splitter does not require Adobe Acrobat to be installed.

PDF Vista enables you to convert any printable document into PDF format. It installs as a virtual printer and can be accessed from any application that supports the Print command - just select the PDF Vista printer instead of your regular paper printer. Infix PDF Editor allows you to edit text in PDF files (that allow editing), using a basic word processor interface. You can also re-justify text, change fonts, reposition images and more. Additional features include control over letter, word and line spacing, as well as spell checking.

PDF Plain Text Extractor(P2T) can extract plain text from PDF files withoput the need for any additional software (not even Acrobat Reader) installed on your computer. P2T analyzes the pdf file and extract plain text from it while attempting to preserve much of the original layout. There are no options to customize the output formatting, and large images (in the PDF file) will cause large gaps in the text documents, making them difficult to read. The program uses a centralized approach, that allows you to specify a local folder, and any document saved to that folder will be automatically converted and saved to a publishing folder. The entire process can run fully automatic, you save a Word document to your specified folder, it is converted and added to the web site without further interaction on your end. The standard version supports up to 75 documents, additional version for larger sites are available for $349 and up.

ScanToPDF is an easy-to-use tool that helps you convert your paper documents into industry standard PDF format. Just insert the paper into your scanner, press a button in the ScanToPDF interface, and the document will be automatically converted to PDF format and saved on your hard drive. You can also send the converted PDF file by email, and the program will automatically create the attachment for you. In addition to Twain input (scanner, digital camera etc.), you can also convert a folder of images to PDF. ScanToPDF supports standard PDF security and author information to be added to the created PDF files.

PDFconverter allows you to (batch) convert PDF files to one of 10 supported image formats (BMP, GIF, DCX, FAX, HTML, JPEG, JPG, PCX, PNG, PS, postscript, SGI, TGA, TIFF,TIF) as well as TEXT and HTML format. It provides an easy to use wizard interface that lets you to specify options auto rotate, dpi (resolution), resize, compression, password protection and more. If you choose to convert the PDF file to HTML, you can also specify title , file name, image directory, add navigation links. PDFconverter also includes a text extraction utility, that allows you to extract all text from selected PDF files.

PDFencrypt enables you to easily encrypt existing PDF documents and set a password without the master password. In addition, you can set permissions for Printing, Editing, Extraction of Data, and more. PDFencrypt uses standard Adobe encryption, so there is no additional software needed to open the encrypted file - except of course the proper password. You can also modify the PDF Info tags and choose from 40bit or 128bit encryption, or skip the encryption and only disable certain features like printing and modifications.
