Ad Muncher removes adverts, popups and general browsing annoyances from all popular browsers as well as most banner displaying and popup generating programs like ICQ, Morpheus, Kazaa, Grokster, Opera, iMesh, Bearshare, LimeWire, etc.

Cyclope Internet Filtering Proxy enables you to monitor and filter Internet traffic of your network computers. The program runs as a proxy server on a single machine and you can simply configure any network browser to connect via the proxy - no need to install any additional software. The web based administration interface allows you to manage the proxy server. You can create filters to block or allow web content based on keywords or address, by file extension and object type. The filtering can be applied to all or only selected IP addresses on the network, and also be scheduled to only be active during certain times of the day (e.g during work hours). Other features include email reporting, statistical reports, detailed logging, group management and more.

LiveMark Family enables you to block access to web sites that are inappropriate for children. You can choose from two filtering levels (under 12 or over 12 years old) and also select the topics that should be filtered (pornography, violence etc.). There filtering is done fully automatically based on criteria set by the software, however you have the option to override certain sites and specifically allow or block them based on your personal preference. LiveMark Family also includes an option to limit Internet access to certain times of the day. All filter and time restrictions can be applied on a per-user basis. LiveMark Family works with Internet Explorer and Firefox.

KDT Site Blocker is an easy to use tool to block access to certain websites. It works with any browser (IE, Firefox, Opera etc.) and will automatically display a generic `blocked` page whenever a blocked site is accessed. To block a site, all you need to do is add the domain name to the list. The admin interface is password protected.

ZeroAds enables you to block Internet ads, adware ads, pop-ups, and bad cookies from reaching your computer. The program runs as a dashboard along the top of your screen (can be minimized to the tray) that displays statistics on blocked items and provides access to configuration options. It also displays activity and connection statistics for your Internet connection. The ad blocking worked well during our review, but popup blocking performed extremely poor when we tested it at popuptest.com. The cookie blocking feature blocked some cookies, but not all and cannot be customized. Overall, a very slick interface with good ad blocking features, but it performed well below expectations in most other aspects. ZeroAds supports Netscape, IE and Opera browsers.

Filtergate is a 4-in-1 filtering package that allows you to remove web advertising and popup windows as well as protect your privacy and filter adult content. It uses a patented filtering technology to analyze each web page decides whether the content is an advertisement or promotion, a friendly cookie or a rogue cookie. You can exclude sites from being filtered, set custom filtering parameters and more. Filtering is based on an internal filtering engine, that can be udated online. You also choose to turn off all banner sized graphics, as well as all offsite graphics, blinking text, background music and more. FilterGate does not require you to set proxy settings in your browser.

Block Porn is an easy to use internet filtering software, that can block access to pornographic material and adult web sites as well as any other web site as needed. It comes with a built-in database that can be updated online. You can also add additional web sites, in case you run into one that is not blocked automatically or that you would like to add to the blocking rules (regardless of content type). The program offers two modes, one that allows access to all web sites, except pornography, and a restricted mode that blocks all web browsing, except for the sites that you specifically allow. The blocking level and tolerance can be customized and the program also keeps track of the web sites that were visited. Additional options include blocking access to selected folders, restricting program access, locking the IE home page, custom warning messages, network synch and more. The program is very easy to install and properly blocked offensive content during our tests. It only works with Internet Explorer though, if any other browsers are used, the content is not filtered.
