DirectDVD is a professional DVD player, that uses a VST Steinberg compatible engine, with support for Spatializer Ultra PC HD, SRS Circle Surround II, and WOWXT. It enables you to customize the sound for your speakers using an independent 32 Band Surround Equalizer and powerful Audio Modeling and Digital Filters. Along with all the standard DVD player features, it offers built in MPEG2/MPEG1 Encoding and Windows WMV-HD control panels, a 17.1 Mix engine for precise Audio Listing Spaces, as well as full DMO/DirectX plug-In support, harddrive recording, Direct-EQ3, MovieArt, Audio HD, ATI/Hercules Remote compatibility and more. DirectDVD includes VST to DirectX conversion and Supports all Movie Windows Media Formats including AVI, MPEG, MPEG2, VOB, DivX, MP3, MPEG4 and H.264. The evaluation version limits playback to 5 minutes per session.

WinDVD is a full featured DVD and video player that supports a variety of industry standards including widescreen monitors and surround sound as well as Dolby Virtual Speakers, Dolby Headphone, SRS Audio Technologies, SRS Dialog Clarity, SRS True Bass and proprietary Hall effects. In addition to DVD playback, WinDVD also supports Real Player files, Quick Time files, DivX Media, WMV-HD and H. 264. Other features include TV Output, video effects, NVIDIA PureVideo support, HDTV Support and more.
