You can further fine-tune the mask to correct fine details, preview the mask on different background and then save it as a new layer in your project. Produces very good results with minimum efforts.

Background Remover is a Photoshop compatible plug-in that enables you to remove the background from an image with minimum efforts and without the need for any advanced editing skills. Just follow the instructions on how to mark and select the object that you want to extract and fine-tune the results with the provided editing tools. The program does not require you to make an exact selection, defining the rough outlines of the object is often enough to achieve a decent result that can be perfected with the defringe brush, mask adjustments and other techniques.

NVR BorderMania Pro is a set of plugin filters for Adobe Photoshop and other graphics programs including JASC Paint Shop Pro and Corel Photo-Paint. NVR BorderMania Pro is distributed free of charge for a 30 day evaluation period, after which some of the features require a license fee for continued use. The Pro features include support for multiple color modes, advanced image preview, control setting history list and anti-aliasing. Oriens Enhancer is an image enhancement and adjustment package with support for more than 55 image formats and 140+ filters and artistic effects, as well as standard painting tools. You can also pint with patterns, or textures, resize images, optimize them, rotate, crop and more. Oriens Enhancer is mostly a collection of filters and effects, that is somewhat complicated to navigate. It lacks some core functionalities found in most other editors. If you are mostly interested in effects and filters, give it a try as it certainly offers a lot of them, however for an all-around photo editor you should look elsewhere.
