AIDA32
AIDA32 is a system information and benchmarking tool with full hardware & software information on 80 pages. It comes with a built-in hardware database and physical information for CPU, motherboard, hard disks, optical drives, chipset and much more. It can display the information on-screen, print it, or save it as a report in various formats including HTML, CSV and XML. The built in diagnostics module can help you find potential problems. AIDA32 offers support for ADO/ODBC database connections as well as TCP/IP remote access. Additional features include command-line switches, network audit and audit statistics and network management. An easy to use report wizard allows you to create detailed reports in the format of your choice or save the information to a database. The program is extremely well featured and very nicely done. On top of all, it does not require an install, but runs standalone from its own folder. (AIDA32 is also known as EVEREST Home Edition)

Other features include a report generator (HTML, CSV, TXT and XML), a MAC address changer, remote computer info and more. SIW is a standalone software that does not require installation.

HWiNFO32 is a hardware information and diagnostic tool, that recognizes and displays detailed information about all your hardware components. It organizes the components in a tree view, and provides easy to read reports for each item. In addition, it can display hardware sensor information (if supported), run a benchmark test and generate a system profile.
WinAudit
WinAudit allows you to perform a detailed audit of the hardware and software configuration of your computer. The resulting audit report contains details on installed software, license information, peripherals, memory usage, processor model, network settings, startup programs and more. It can be viewed from within the application, or optionally exported to text, nicely formatted web page, XML and spreadsheet formats, or sent by email. USBDeview
USBDeview is a small utility that lists all USB devices that are currently connected to your PC or have been connected to it in the past. Along with the device name and description, it displays the the serial number (if available), date the device was added and last connected, VendorID and other information. You can also choose to disconnect or uninstall any device on the list, export the list to Text/HTML or XML format, test the read/write speed of connected devices, auto-launch a command-line when a device is connected, and more. USBDeview can even be used to gather USB devices from a remote computer (access rights required) via command-line. Standalone, no install needed.
Notebook BatteryInfo
Notebook BatteryInfo adds a battery monitor to the taskbar of your notebook, that displays the current battery capacity as well as remaining time and power consumption data. You can customize the color of the battery display and choose whether to display additional information in the taskbar display or an Infotext window, or both. System Explorer
System Explorer is an enhanced Taskmanager that provides detailed information about running processes, startup programs, IE add-ons (BHOs), drivers, services network connections, system resources and more. It also keeps track of a history of processes that were started, and allows you to create file and registry snapshots that can be compared to analyze system changes in detail. System Explorer integrates online lookups into the right click menu for any process, driver or service, allowing you to retrieve additional information (and virus checking) from online sources including Google.

The program comes with a handy option to blank out all serial numbers which can be useful if you want to share the system information with others.

System Spec is a simple tool for those that want to gather the most important system specifications for their computer. It displays the CPU Speed, MAC Address, Ports, Memory (RAM), Video Card, Windows version and serial number, as well as hard disk size/space, and other details about your system. The program is intended to provide non-technical users with easy access to this information, from a simple interface. The information can also be saved to file or printed as report (with support for command line). System Spec does not require an installation.
BGInfo

CPUMon
CPUMon is a simple little gadget to monitor single or dual CPU performance from your desktop. It displays a real-time graph of CPU performance as well as current usage indicator. In addition, it allows you to gather detailed techical information about your CPU(s) (Carbonsoft cxCPU), as well as memory usage statistics. The display supports custom colors, alpha-blending, user defined update rates and more. CPUMon can also run in system tray mode instead.
OpenedFilesView
OpenedFilesView is a tool for advanced users, that displays a list of all files on your system that are currently in use by applications or processes. The list includes additional file specific information including path, handle, attributes, process name etc. and can also be sorted based on these criteria. The program includes an option to terminate selected processes or file handles, and to create a report from all or selected items in the list.

Emsa FlexInfo Pro is a system information and diagnostics tool that allows you to access a wealth of system details and settings from a single interface. It also includes a real-time CPU and memory graph, as well as CPU speed test and memory test tools. In addition to the system tools, the program also includes several useful networking utilities (Bandwidth Monitor, Ping, Whois etc.) as well as an atomic time synchronizer, a browser popup blocker and even a basic keylogger.
MyCPU

In addition, you can also terminate multiple processes by using a keyword, or by creating custom kill-lists. Other features include a windows property inspector, options to keep a window on top, set transparency, start/stop services and more.
Emsa PC FlexInfo
Emsa PC FlexInfo is a simple system information and diagnostics utility that provides general system information (hardware, drives, services, processes etc.) as well as network information (IP and host lookup, Ping and real-time CPU and memory statistics. The gathered information data is presented as plain text so it can be copied and pasted as needed (for tech support or other uses). The program also includes a CPU Speed Test to test the actual speed of your processor. No installation required.
SysInfoMyWork
SysInfoMyWork is a system tray tool for monitoring your system memory and CPU load and displays the information with a small, animated icon in the system tray. You can also set it to automatically defrag your memory once it reaches a specified capacity and change the color of the tray icon.
ReSysInfo
ReSysInfo is a standalone program (no install) that displays details about your computer configuration and hardware specifications. The information is organized into categories and includes detailed information about your motherboard, Bios, network setup, video system, memory, CPU, system summary and more - 25 modules in total. You can view, copy or print the information and also create custom reports in text, HTML or XML format.
NTFSRatio
NTFS offers file based compression but you cannot see the compression rate anywhere. For every folder on an NTFS volume, NTFSRatio shows the size and the compression rate of this folder and its subfolders. Compression and decompression can be done inside NTFSRatio with immediate control of the result. NTFSRatio can be called from the Explorer context menu of any folder.
Free PC Audit
Free PC Audit is a standalone (no installation) PC auditing program that scans your computer and provides a detailed technical report on system hardware and software. The reports includes information about your motherboard, memory, drives, BIOS, CPU and other aspects of your system as well as your Windows product ID and key and a list of installed software.
TaskPatrol Personal
TaskPatrol Personal is a task manager that analyzes running programs and provides you with details for each task including performance information (RAM/CPU), dynamic components used and a security analysis that is used to estimate a risk factor based on specific attributes of the software. We found the rating system a little confusing, but one can get used to it. In addition to the detailed information and risk assessment, TaskPatrol Personal provides dynamic links to online resources, as well as an option to terminate a task, mark it as trusted and assign a personal comment.

Core Temp displays the current core temperature of your CPUs in the system tray. It also includes an optional logging function and displays detailed processor information from the main interface. You can choose to display individual temperature readings for each processor or combine the reading into one. Standalone, no installation.
BlueScreenView
BlueScreenView enables you to investigate the cause of a system crash (blue screen of death) by analyzing the content of the Minidump files that are created during each crash. The program scans the content of the Minidump folder and provides a detailed report with the basic crash details as well as all the drivers and modules involved. It can highlight the drivers that were found in the error stack, allowing you to narrow down the possible cause for the crash. In addition to the technical details, the program can also show you a simulation of the original blue screen error. Note: In order to use BlueScreenView to analyze crash data, your system should be configure to save a `Small memory dump` file in the default folder - this setting can be found in the `Advance System Properties` dialog under `Startup and Recovery`.
BatteryBar
BatteryBar is a battery status indicator that installs as a toolbar on your desktop. It displays the current status of your battery (color coded) as well as the estimated operating time remaining in hours and minutes. When you hover your mouse over the toolbar it will provide further details for the battery capacity, current discharge rate and battery wear. A Pro version can be purchased with additional features.
DN Sys Info
DN Sys Info adds a small desktop window that displays real-time bar graphs for your current CPU and memory consumption. You can also set an optional alarm that will inform you when CPU usage or available memory go over a certain value. The desktop display and bar graph colors are customizable to suite your desktop style.
Process Meter
Process Meter displays a bar chart of all currently running processes based on CPU usage, memory consumption, Handles, Threats or VM size. Each process is represented by a red or blue bar depending on the amount of resources used. The set limits for excess resource usage can be customized by the user. The program can also connect remotely to other machines on th network (access privileges required).

Auslogics Task Manager
Auslogics Task Manager is an enhanced task manager that displays current CPU and RAM usage along with detailed process information. You can view the currently running processes, services, applications as well as a list of open files and the processes that are using them. The program includes real-time activity charts for CPU, memory, disk activity and Internet bandwidth usage that let you view the overall statistics, as well as activity for the currently selected process. Auslogics Task Manager also integrates with an online database that provides feedback on the trustworthiness for each process.
Speccy
Speccy enables you to gather a variety of basic system specs, including processor brand and model, hard drive size and speed, amount of memory (RAM), motherboard and graphics card details and operating system information. Speccy provides a good technical overview of your system without going into too many details, making it suitable for non-technical users.
Monitor Asset Manager
Monitor Asset Manager is a monitor and HDTV information utility that extracts and decodes base and extension EDID information directly from the monitor, without relying on the information that is stored in the registry (although you can review that as well). It displays detailed information along with monitor color and timing characteristics as well as the monitor serial number. The information can be saved as .MIF file or exported to database format to be added to your network inventory.
