FreeMind is an open source mind mapping software that enables you to visualize ideas, projects, concepts, brainstorming, internet research or any other task that can benefit from a structured overview. You can create nodes with child and sibling nodes and add icons, clouds, notes and custom formatting for better presentation. The nodes can be expanded or collapsed, or interactively linked to local files, other maps, online resources and more. You can also insert encrypted nodes or create encrypted maps for sesitive projects. The finished maps can be exported to HTML, clickable XHTML, Open Office document, image file and other formats.

TreePad is an intuitive and powerful personal database program, PIM and personal data search engine. It allows you to store all your notes, emails, texts, hyperlinks, etc. into a single file. With the look and feel of the familiar Windows explorer, editing, storing, browsing, searching and retrieving your data can not be easier! TreePad can be run directly from a USB stick, including data. To find any article you previously created or imported, you can browse the tree, in the same way as you browse directories/folders in the Windows explorer. Alternatively, you can use the very fast internal search engine to instantly find any item you need!

Keynote is a flexible, multi-featured tabbed notebook, that offers a combination of simple and tree-type notes, rich text editor, ability to mix notes of different types in a single file and optional secure encryption using the Blowfish or Idea algorithms. It can be used as a simple scratchpad for quick notes and ideas, or as a personal contacts organizer, bookmark manager, project manager, password storage and much more. Advanced users can also take advantage of macros and plugins. You can customize the appearance of your entries, add icons and more.

ClickTray Calendar is a multi-functional calendar, address, and reminder program that runs in the system tray. It enables you to create notes, enter repetitive tasks, maintain To Do lists, and to set personal (recurring) alarms. The interface offers fiscal week or month display, yearly overview, moon phases display and more. Additional features include date calculation, calendar printing, address book and more. ClickTray Calendar offers a good set of features, but comes with a rather primitive interface, and you`ll have to add holidays manually.

Printable Notebook lets you organize and print your personal data in the same manner a paper notebook does. You can print (and cut) selected pages so that they fit into your paper notebook. The program allows you to create multiple notebooks with custom fields for each. It includes several sample print templates, that will fit a standard notebook size. The templates are XML based and can be edited by experienced users to accomodate other formats. Printable Notebook supports website links and email fields, different tab layouts, search across notebooks and more.

Chaos Manager is a compact organizer that includes an appointment/to-do manager, a calendar, contacts, a notebook, print/import/export and more. It can remind you of appointments via popup dialog, or optionally send email reminders to a specified email address - allowing you to get reminders, even if you are away from home. If you commute between 2 computer locations, you can use the built-in FTP synchronization feature to exchange and sync data with another install of Chaos Manager (e.g in your office). Additional features include password protection, customizable interface with many skins to choose from and more. As far as features, Chaos Manager is a mostly basic PIM, but the FTP sync features and email forwarding add some good features that may be more useful to some, than other advanced organizer features.

PhoneDeck is a personal address and phone organizer. It offers incremental search, full search, shortcut links, alphabet index and categories with custom icons to organize your contacts. Also supported are email and web links, quick access to favorite email contacts, direct phone dialing and more. In addition, you can create internal shortcuts to link one contact with another. PhoneDeck includes an import/export wizard that allows you to import from .csv and export to text, .CSV and HTML.

Kurlo is a portable contact manager that can be installed on your PC or a USB drive or other portable device. It provides an easy-to-use interface and a surprising range of features that extend the functionality beyond that of a simple address book. In addition to detailed contacts record and personal categories, it can notify you of birthdays, anniversaries and other events, and even includes emailing features to send messages to selected contacts or mailing lists. Kurlo can also help you print address labels and envelopes, using selected contacts from your database. Other features include advanced search, import/export, data backup and more.

MapleXP enables you to keep track of how much time you spend, working various projects. It allows you to maintain multiple projects and divide each project into a hierarchy of tasks and actions in reference to those tasks. The program includes a simple start/stop time that can keep track of your time, and you can generate a report for all your projects.

AMP Calendar is small utility, that simply displays a 12 month calendar for the current (or selected) year. It runs in the system tray, and displays the current date in the tray icon. You can optionally choose to display week numbers, and also calculate the difference between two selected days. This is read-only calendar, you cannot add any entries and it does not support any holidays.

Total Organizer is a Personal Information Manager that allows you to manage your appointments, tasks, To-Do list items and contacts. It organizes your data into a tree-like structure with virtual folders for each category. You can assign multiple categories to any item and filter your view by category, subcategories, or view all items on the agenda. Each task can optionally be associated with an alarm reminder and a priority status, as well as keyword for quick searching. Total Organizer provides daily and weekly agenda views, as well as separate views for notes, To-Do items and contacts.

Diary Dominator is a personal diary program that allows you to add daily notes along with indicators for your mood, health and current weather conditions. You can style your daily entry by using common word processor options (font, color, bold etc) and also insert images or objects, set a background color and more. Diary Dominator offers optional password protection and encryption (Blowfish) to keep your diary entries private. Other features include export to RTF, print options, wallpaper changer and system tray support.

Remlap KnowledgeBASE is a free-form text, image and objects organizer that can help store and index all your information is a searchable KnowledgeBASE file. Add documents by typing directly, or import selected text segments via drag and drop or clipboard copy. You can select keyword for each document, insert JPG or BMP images (no GIF support) and objects, export documents to RTF and more. Other feastures include multi-user/network support, auto-backup and more.

ContactKeeper is a simple information manager to store names, addresses, emails and additional information for your friends, family or other contacts. The interface is straightforward and easy to use, and provides fields for the name, address, phone numbers and email addresses, as well as a notes field that can be used for all other information that you want to associate with the contact. The program also provides a detailed search feature, as well as a built-in birthday calendar with reminder option, that can alert you of upcoming birthdays in advance. ContactKeeper allows you to print contact information but lacks import and export functionalities.

Calgoo Calendar is a calendar application that can synchronize it`s data with Google Calendar, Outlook Calendar and iCal format. It enables you to manage multiple calendars and schedules, contacts and tasks online and offline. Furthermore, you can also share your agenda and schedule with your Facebook friends. Calgoo Calendar provides a drag&drop interface with daily, weekly and monthly views, as well as a task list. You can maintain up to 3 calendars in the free version calendars and combine them in the same view area with color coded event fields.

Bitlets is a simple organizer to manage text snippets. It can store any type of text entry and optionally monitor the clipboard and keep track of your recently copied text snippets. The text can be printed, saved to a text file, send by email or stored encrypted using RC4. The program also provides a simple keyword search function.
