Jaangle (formerly Teen Spirit) is a media player and organizer that stands out of the crowd with a very user friendly interface and easy access to some of the most popular features such as cover downloads, lyrics retrieval, artist bio, personal ratings and more. It supports most video and audio formats including mp3, ogg, mp4 and many others. You can create multiple collections by simply adding the folder paths that contain your MP3 files, search through your collections and sort the file list in several ways. The program can automatically download lyrics, cover art and author bio (whenever available) and store the information locally, so it is available at any time, regardless of your Internet connection. Jaangle also keeps track of the files you play and lets you review statistics and generates a personal hit list based on which songs you listen to most. Other features include file renaming, ID3 editing, integrated player interface and more. A refreshing addition to the crowded media player/organizer market - Jaangle offers the right balance of features and an attractive interface that will suit most casual music listeners without much of a learning curve.

MediaMonkey is a multi-featured music manager that includes many useful tools. It acts as a Music Manager, Scanner, Player, Encoder, Decoder, Converter, Grabber, Tagger, Renamer, Playlister, Locator, Cacher and more. It includes powerful scanning features of all music files, as well as a built in player and Encoder/Decoder. In addition Songs-DB can also convert among various types of files and extract (rip) data from audio CDs. Additional tools include a file renamer, ID tag editor (read/write) and a caching system that caches songs from removable media to HD and built-in support for CDDb.

TagScanner is an audio file manager, tag editor and renaming tool that offers highly customizable file and tag renaming options. It includes and online database search that enables you to search for missing tag information such as album names, covers and other details, and automatically update the tags with the downloaded data. You can also edit tag information manually, apply text transformation to the tag data, rename your files based on custom templates and create song lists that can be exported to .csv, web page (with covers), .m3u playlist or XML format. Other features include support for folder creation (to organize your files), built-in player and more. TagScanner offers a nice set of features but lacks documentation, which may make it difficult to use for those that are not overly familiar with tag editing and renaming. Supports MP3, OGG, Musepack, Monkey`s Audio, FLAC, AAC, OptimFROG, SPEEX, WavePack, TrueAudio, WMA, MP4 files.

Media Catalog Studio Lite allows you to manage all your music files on your PC, as well as up to 5 AudioCDs. It can search your computer for media files and automatically create a catalog that lets you access files by artist, category, year, bitrate and many other aspects. It also offers graphical statistics, playlist generation, as well as advanced search and built-in duplicate finder. Media Catalog Studio Lite supports MP3, WMA, APE, OGG, WAV, AVI, MPG, WMV and Audio CD files. The lite version is a Lite and has no limitations to manage local files, but can only index up to 5 Audio CDs.

Playlist Creator is a simple tool that lets you create .m3u or .pls playlists of your MP3 files. You can add individual files or entire folders, and also drag and drop files from Windows Explorer.

MetatOGGer enables you to tag, rename and organize your Ogg Vorbis, FLAC, Speex and MP3 files. It allows you to rename files based on their existing tags and also by their folder path (useful if your folder path contains the relevant artist and album names). If you have music files with generic names (e.g track1.mp3) and no tags, the built-in acoustic fingerprint look-up (powered by MuzicBrainz) may be able to identify and tag the files for you. MetatOGGer can also gather artist information from a local database which is faster than online look-up but requires you to download the database file first. Other features include file organizing based on tag info (copy, move etc.), manual tagging and cleaning of unwanted tags.

Similarity enables you to find and remove music files that have the same or similar sound content an/or music tags (ID3, WMF, Vorbis). Unlike standard duplicate finders, the program checks the similarity of the actual sound content, not just the music tags or file content as it is done with byte to byte comparison methods. Once the program finished scanning your music folders, it presents you with a list of files along with their similarity analysis. You can then decide to browse, play, delete or create a playlist from the selected files. Similarity supports MP3, WMA, OGG, ASF, WAV, FLAC, APE and WV formats.

VisiTrax reads your music CDs. Just pop in your music CDs and VisiTrax can fetch their track titles for you automatically from the internet, using the CDDB database. The program efficiently organizes your CDs, records, tapes, and more. You can also name your own categories and media formats or quickly locate material with wild-card matching. Additional features include DJ playlist, tabsheet views, integrated CD player and an example database to get you started. This version is free for small libraries under 1000 tracks or 100 CDs, for larger libraries, Pro version available

AudioShell is a Windows Explorer shell extension, that allows you to view detailed information for audio files from a mouseover hint. In addition, it adds a new tab to the properties dialog of audio files, that allows you to easily review and edit the tag data. You can also add a cover image to the properties dialog, and select additional audio related columns that will be displayed in the Windows Explorer list view. AudioShell supports mp3, wma, asf and wmv, Apple iTunes aac (m4a and m4p) and mp4 files, ogg, flac (vorbis comment tags), mpc , mp+, monkey`s audio, wav pack, optim frog ( APE and APEv2 tags).

Toricxs MP3 Renamer is a MP3 file renamer and tag editor, that allows you to manage your entire collection of MP3 files. It can help you clean up file names, remove characters, apply uniform naming schemes from existing tags or file names and more. In addition, it allows you to move or copy files, keep backups of your original files (before renaming) and more. The program uses a wizard like interface that is intended to be easy to use, with additional help and demo modes - yet we found the software a tad confusing and it will probably require some getting used to.

ID3-Sync is a unique ID3 tag editor that is designed to correct or sync information in existing ID3/2 tags. Unlike batch editing tools, it provides a step-by-step editing approach based on a to-do list of files and allows you to review the existing information, and quickly change it if needed. It supports ID3v1 and v2 tags and you can easily transfer tag data between fields by simply clicking on the desired data. In addition, the program can rename your files based on a uniform scheme, lookup information via FreeDB, and comes with integrated MP3 playback.
